| I was so set on getting a little boy that I didnt even THINK about little girls names. I wanted our little boy to be Winston..... Well, when we walked into the breeder and fell in love with a GIRL, we it was very difficult to pick the name. To make matters worse, she started crying in her crate on the way home, and I told my BF "Quick, we need to name her so she gets soothed by hearing us reassure her." So we started tossing names out. I didnt like ANY of them..... Finally, he suggested Lily...... and for a middle name Louise. I told him no way on Louise -- it made her sound like my grandma (sorry anybody named that!)....so we decided on Belle. Lily Belle..... And we named like the flower, with only 1 L instead of 2

| I've posted this probably three times before, but Stewie was named after Stewie Griffin from the Family Guy. My boyfriend wanted to name him Brian (after the dog in the show) to begin with, but my brother's name is Brian, so I thought that would be mean. I wanted to name him Finn, but gave in. His AKC name is Stewart Finnegan XVII of Yorkshire.

| we have 2 yorkies brother and sister 1 year apart in age. We are Halloween buffs so the little boys name is " hallownqueen's Ozzy prince of darkness" ( or just Ozzy) & out little girl is " hallownqueen's little Lilith" ( or Lily) after Lilith the first evil wich she is no where near. My mother owns their mother, "Miss E", brother " son E" and sister Toots E. |

| Well, I had just finished reading a book called 'Educating Esme.' It's about a teacher and her first year of teaching. The book was funny and inspirational. I am a teacher myself so I could relate to a lot of what happened to the author. This is a true story of her first year. Anyhow, I LOVED the name Esme. It's different and cute! So, we got Esme shortly after I finished this book, and that's the name she got. I would actually like to contact the author and let her know she was so inspirational, I decided to name my dog after her! I would be so honored if someone named their dog after me.

| My babes AKC name is Cecilias' Breakin my Heart. I Love the Simon and Garfunkel song. If I have a boy yorkie it's gonna be Jude, for the Beatles song Hey Jude. Someone that I know is going to the groomer tomorrow and is not gonna be too happy about it.

| Passionfruition - that is so special how you came up with your baby's name, very heart warming! Schatzie in German means "Little Darling or Sweetheart". She was adopted after the loss of our Half-Pint, (RIP) She indeed is exactly as her name!

| I don't really have any special reason for the name I gave Sophia. I just love the name. Her middle name has a sweet story. Some of you know that I had a Yorkie for 1 day that ended up with a heart murmur, so we had to take her back to the breeder. My 8yr. old son was also very upset. He cried much harder than I thought he would. I told him we would get a new one, but he is very pestimistic at times and said "oh, I bet the new one will have something wrong too, probably won't have a head." LOL, he can be so overdramatic....I don't know WHERE he gets that from, hee hee! Anyhow, to help him feel better about the new pup I told him he could pick her middle name. He came up with Angileah. Pronounced like Ang-il-ee. I thought that went really well with Sophia. I asked him if he had heard Angilee somewhere before, and he said no, he just made it up. (I would have told him what I told my daughter if I'd have thought of it in time. I don't endorse lying to children, usually. I tried to tell her the truth too, but she just couldn't grasp it. She was so upset. She kept asking if she would come back after she was with her mommy and felt better, so I just decided that if that is the best way she could handle it, then that was fine by me. )

Hey, my husband and I love Napoleon Dynamite also...hey, and my name IS Lindsay, spelled like that, too...Not that you care --but I was named after Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac...see what happens when your parents are young..... We got our baby about a month ago (she is 1 year old) ....she came with the name Ruby, and wouldn't answer to other similar-sounding names we tried to call her...oh well, Ruby it is... I have one good story, tho...five years ago, my now 9-year-old brother got a dog and named it Pepper (typical, right!?) in honor of our Papa's (Grandpa's) much-loved dog that died almost 20 years ago...Papa has never wanted another dog since....pretty profound for a 4-year-old... | |

| I wanted a name with meaning. I first saw Casear at about 8 weeks. I didn't get him until almost 11 weeks. I was about to die waiting as well. So every night I looked for names with meaning. My husband made a comment that "you would think you are getting a real baby" of course he didn't really know how true that was until we got him. So here goes... Vaughn Caesar Alexander Wahl. Our last name is Wahl (which is Welsh) Vaughn - I choose this for the Welsh Vaughan meaning little but spelled it wrong on his papers Vaughn but is still okay because it is a variant of Vaughan Caesar - After Augustus Caesar, the first Roman Emperor (grand nephew of Julius Caesar) Alexander - defending man;helper to man;I swear I found somewhere that it meant quick witted; cunning, etc. His dad's name is Squeaky Toy and that name would have really fit. My husband bought him 2 squeaky toys and had regreted it ever since. When I told my (almost 10 yrs old) step son we were naming him Caesar he wanted his full name to be Caesar Salad. Thanks for sharing your stories and listening to mine. |

| My husband actually helped me come up with Avery.....We thought & thought and couldn't find anything that was just PERFECT, ya know? Then all of a sudden, we were sitting on the couch and there just happened to be a James Avery catalog laying there (I'm addicted to that, too...lol) and hubby said, "Avery"....and I said "PERFECT"! So, then for his registered name, we did Texas Avery's Angel......because we're in Texas and he IS my angel |

| The name Zsa Zsa was inspired by Zsa Zsa Gabor . Her registered name is Sheherazade de Fujisan . Zsa Zsa always walk with her head and tail high even now at 13 years old . She really act as if she was a V.I.P. and surely let me know when she is upset about something . |

| Bennett's name was at first Slater. I liked it, but it didn't quite fit him. I bought him in Iowa and Slater was a town there. On my drive back to Alabama, I saw a town by the name of Bennett and it stuck!! Little did I know that there was a football player by the name of Bennett on the Georgia Bulldogs team. My BF at the time loved the Georgia Bulldogs and he said I named him because of him. NOT!! Wendy |

| I named my little one Duke because he is such a little fireball, I thought a "big" name would be appropriate for him. |
