Bennett's name was at first Slater. I liked it, but it didn't quite fit him. I bought him in Iowa and Slater was a town there. On my drive back to Alabama, I saw a town by the name of Bennett and it stuck!! Little did I know that there was a football player by the name of Bennett on the Georgia Bulldogs team. My BF at the time loved the Georgia Bulldogs and he said I named him because of him. NOT!!
