Well.. Oreo because he's black with white in the middle and looks like an oreo cookie

and ginger.. hm i don't really know why! i just thought ginger was a girlie cutsie name! and it fit her

I guess everyone knows who Ringo is named after, but here's the story anyway.
We had a dalmation named John Paul (J.P. for short) for 13 years. He was named after John and Paul of the Beatles. He passed away this past Christmas. I wanted to keep with the Beatles "theme" so we named our new boy Ringo. Our next pet will be George.

We were sat one night having a drink trying to think of names......the bottle of budweiser on the table was the inspiration!

Our two girls are named after one of my favorite singers...Jimmy Buffet...I grew up listening to him, as he is my dad's favorirte...and when I was little my dad used to call me Lil Mis' Magic, a song of Buffet's, and so it was fitting that when I got a little girl that would be her name...and then once we got a new little girl, we once again went to look for Buffet songs...we came up with Sailor Girl, another symbol for Buffet....both names fit them perfectly...

My husband and I are both Parrotheads too!

We considered naming Tia, RITA (for Margaritaville) but Tia just fit her too well!

Biggie is named after the Notorius B. I G.(the rapper from new york that was killed on my Birthday March 9th 1997) My boyfriend brought Biggie for me for my birthday this year!

My Roxy is named after the surfing brand Roxy. We just got a new male yorkie this weekend and named him Gibson after Gibson Guitars. My boyfriend is in a band so it fit. lol!

I also own a Border Collie ... whose name is Molly... so what else to call a Yorkie...but Corky! Her full name is Corky Merlot. Gotta love that red wine!

My 19 year old daughter loves the name Paris. She had decided the name before we got the puppy. With my Harry, we were not sure what to name him. The day we got the two of them, we took them to the vet to get checked out. We still had no name for him. He was in a carry bag, on the floor in the reception area. While we were talking to the receptionist, Harry slipped out of his bag and started to explore. The receptionist said, 'Look, he's a Houdini!", since the bag he was in, was zipped on the side and he managed to poke his little body out. So, that's how 'Harry' was named, after Harry Houdini!

I love that name too! I'm a big Girlmore Girls fan...........odd I didn't think of naming my little babe Rory or Lorelai, or Suki............although Sushi was on the list, but a family member poo-pooed it, and I caved....said animals shouldn't be named after food! Whatever!

I was wanting to call him Benji in the beginning but mike (my hubby) said no!! So as we were driving we were naming off names from our favorite sci-fi shows!! (We are Sci-fi nuts) We went through the names on Battle Star Gallactica.. Mike wanted to name him Baltar..but I said no...It sounds Like a Rottweillers name and so we kept driving and Then Mike said Riddick..One of our favorite Movies... I loved that name right away.. I just said afterwards "I hope he doesn't live up to his name...and right now he does!! He's mean...lol... His bite is worse then his bark.....He can sure tear up my house for such a little guy!!! I wouldn't have it any other way right now though... I love him and hope he's around for many, many years..

Brady was named after Tom Brady, Quarterback for the New England Patriots - my fiance is obsessed....and to top it off Brady is a girl! But it suits her well even though people thinks she's a boy.
