| I need advice 5 days ago I got my sweet little puppy from a breeder. The breeder seemed to have great reviews yet after getting my puppy it doesn't seem to match the puppy that I picked out online. Also when going to the breeders residence i saw the Mom and Dad of the puppies and they were beautiful with long silky hair. He is darling and has all of the right markings but I am still feeling a little on the uneasy side about if he is a yorkie. Thanks for your advice . . . |

| Welcome to YT, puppies faces, body, coloring change so quickly from week to week. You saw the Mom and Dad, did you see the puppy on that day also? Still from the day you saw him until the day he became yours,he went though many changes. A photo of him may help, but, a picture is just that "a picture". If you never owned a yorkie puppy before, their hair can be fluffy, straggly, scruffy, not smooth, he's a baby, his hair has to grow.

| How old is the pup? Please keep in mind that even a "pure bred" might not end up looking like a typical yorkie. |

| Aww.. he's adorable! Reminds me of my Magnus when he was a pup. How old is he?... I think generally there's two type of coats. Cotton vs silky. Magnus has the cotton and my Zoey has the silky. I think you might have to wait to see what your boy's coat will grow into. |

| I am a first time yorkie owner and so I am learning all kinds of new things. I think what is crazy to me and you guys tell me what you think but for months I was I touch with the breeder and had finally picked this puppy out (first picture) . Then the puppy I received is this puppy (second picture) which don't get me wrong is adorable yet I am thinking it is a completely different puppy. Do you think it is the same puppy.listed but different angle. My little one is 8 weeks old. |

| Based purely on the pictures, I'd say he's the same puppy. Is there some reason you are skeptical, other than the feeling that the might not be the same puppy? Depending on when the first picture was taken and when you picked him up, he's definitely going to look a bit different, because he's growing by the day. Each week he's going to look different and will continue to change up to 2 years old! If you're completely new to the breed, it might be helpful to read up on the book "Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies", even if you've owned other dog breeds before. https://www.amazon.ca/Yorkshire-Terr.../dp/B004SIT4A2

| I am blown away at how different yorkie puppies look than the adult version, all the stages are fun though definitely do some research on the breed, even if you just search google images I think you will be surprised to see what you will find. Look for yorkie puppies, yorkie adults and yorkie mom with puppies and check out the pictures. have fun!

| Like others, I think it's the same pup. And to give you an idea of how much they can change... They change ALOT as they get older. And I think Magnus is still changing colors on his back. It's very subtle but I can still tell. |

| Oh my goodness Magnus is adorable! He looks very sweet. I thank you each for your replies. I have a much better understanding of the drastic changes these puppies go through. I will continue to do research and enjoy all the changes with Rigby while he grows. |
