| Almost like Matthias's coat/sweater he has! The fur is the same pattern, but only goes around his neck. Real cute. I used to have to 'hog-tie' Matthias to get it on too. Now it doesn't phase him a bit. Now he only screams bloody murder when I hook his leash to his harness (no collars). He just hates it. Not like it's hurting him or anything, but he doesn't want me to put it on. Little stinker.

| Deb, In answer to your question, yes I love dressing Chloe. At first I felt silly, I asked my vet if the clothes were made because of teenagers wanting to dress up their toy dogs. Once she assured me, a material coat or sweater supplies warmth for their tiny bodies & was a good idea, that was all I needed! Chloe now has a small size school locker filled with different coats, sweaters but only a few hats (she hates boots!) In the beginning, she fought me the same way, once she realized it meant out to play, watch neighbors or her daily ride in the car - I hold up the coat and she comes runnin!! She even sits now so I can put it on, then runs for the door (she is only 6 months old) We started this in early October when our weather started getting cold and I noticed her shivering. Perhaps "Dogs learn what they live" too? Also I have an oval pet bed on my front seat in the car, in the beginning she tried to sit on my lap while driving, wanting to act like a playful pup, since I drive back & forth to NY every 2 months, I felt this was dangerous. When we first started driving I would pull over whenever she tried to leave the pet bed, Now if she gets up all I have to say is sit and she relaxes in her bed again. Back on the subject of coats: SHe loves fleece best (coincidently we have matching colors as far as her fleece coats-I had mine before she was born) She even loves her sweaters - I love the ones with the full collars best-fuzzy or furry BUT she hates her swede coat and I believe it may be because of the way some coats have a velcro down the entire middle of the belly area. (Maybe it is too stiff and therefore uncomfortable) Also different companies are sized very differently. she wears x-sm in most but after tons of returning, I started keeping a log on which company she needs x-sm and which one the sm fits better. x-sm fits great but too short on some company jackets for the long body on a Yorkie |

I just posted a reply about the coats/sweaters : after reading it, then shopping:watch out for long velcro down the belly area. My Chloe leaves her's on for the duration of our trips outside (we live in cold Michigan climate) That includes yard play, porch watching or car rides. I leave her "nake" in doors. She doesn't seem to mind ha ha. She Hates stiff coats-velcro included) small velcro attachments are ok by her, loves her sweaters & raincoat. If the fit is too big she gets her front leg tangled inside and falls on her face Makes me feel bad, then we pack that coat away until she grows a bit (did this twice). Have fun with it - I do! | |

Poor baby falling on her face Have you tried putting large safety pins on the sides kinda lifting the strap. By using the safety pins you can still use it when she gets bigger. I have started making somethings for my girls with the Velcro on the outer side, not the most attractive but much comfortable for hanging around the house and for when their hair is long. Things I have not made myself I have made changes remove the Velcro & replaced it or just covered it....just play around with it when you have some free time. Feel free to PM me if you need ideas or questions.

No hats, you get hat hair and not as pretty as pink bows Matching colors, try matching scraffs or I have a scraff the same print as her coat, or she has a fleece coat with a matching blanket. I love all that furry or fuzzy stuff they look very nice or sooo cute on those little Diva's. Boys are getting there too. Send me a picture of the Suede Coat at Lovmyyorkie@yahoo.com Too short? just add furry or fuzzy stuff to the bottom with Velcro or make a skirt.
