| I know I am out-numbered, but I found that picture very disturbing.

| Why do you find it disturbing? It doesn't look much different than putting him in a crate to me, which I've been tempted to do with Yumi when she's driving Yuri up the wall. The only reason I haven't is that I want her to like the crate and not associate it with a punishment. The lid is cracked, he can see out, breath fine and it's plenty big enough... |

OP please don't take it personal, remember all we see is a pic....it is cute but could also be dangerous and viewed by some as harsh....

| Depends on how the dog is trained. I sometimes give Uni a time out in her bed. But she doesn't associate her beds w being a bad place, it's just a place she needs to go if I tell her to. I still think its a cute pic.

Mine goes in time out for maybe 30 seconds behind the gate and I can only take those eyes for about that long. Dont want to even tell you how many times I have teared up when I saw them sitting in the chair by the window watching me leave with those sad eyes. I am too soft I guess. | ||

| This is too cute! Has anyone besides me noticed an optical illusion when you click on the picture? It looks like the lid to toy box is moving. |

| He's so cute lol I don't give my dogs time out. If one is all hyped up and being bad, we try to hold them tight and get them to slow their breathing down by taking slow and steady breaths. Everyone has their own way of doing things so this might work for the OP and her little Joel. His eyes look like their saying, "Mommy, I promise to be good. Can I comes out?" haha

| I think it is Cute. and for those of you who are afraid to give your dogs direction and boundaries I bet you will be posting if you already haven't about some behavioral issue. Dogs as well Children need boundaries and corrections Although I see the picture as Cute Yes a toybox is not a proper time out place it is not doing Cute Joel and harm and it looks like he is having fun with it. I do not know the OP but I will say just by looking at Joel and his surroundings he looks well cared for... |
