| Brutey! What did you do???? I thought I had a little dog, not a woodchuck! Someone had a great time with the knob on my dresser! I pointed to it and said "Brutus, what is this? What did you do? No, no." He put his little ears down, tail between his legs, and walked away. I followed him to see where he was going and he plopped right on his bed with little sad eyes. Someone felt guilty.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Isn't is great when they put themselves in a time out ? Had this problem too, but it was the decorative trim at the bottom and my baseboards. Sounds like your little one is teething.Be sure to have plenty of soft and hard type toys for him to chew on.

| I was shocked when I found the knob as I thought we were done with chewing. I have had to redo wood on my stairs, the bottom of a standing lamp and the bottom of another dresser - but those were months ago. The good thing is once I make the repair he stays away from that item like he KNEW he wasn't suppose to make extra work for mom. He is 15 months old and doesnt have any baby teeth (they were pulled at his neuter) left - could he still be teething?

| LOL I know I shouldn't laugh but I'm convinced God made them so stinkin' cute so we couldn't stay mad at them long. First day I took Hope out in her brand new KB bag she chewed the harness strap. Paid to have it replaced only to have her instantly chew that one. Finally used a chain....the rest of the bag she leaves alone and loves it! Didn't realize they still chewed so much at 15 months. We've got a long way to go! :-/ |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Oh didn't know he was that old. Yea teething is not your issue.... he's just being a puppy. You pretty much have to catch him doing the deed in order to correct him and stop the behavior. Try to redirect his attention to a toy that might satisfy his need to chew on hard things. Cow hooves are rally good for this, they are hard and safe, no splintering. You can get them at the pet store. But enless you want you carpets stained be sure tp get the ones that are not favored. The smell when they chew on them will take some getting use to. It's different... but I'd rather smell that than have to do more repairs in my home.

| I'm not sure how he was feeling when he was chewing - lol, unfortunately I didn't catch him in the act. But when I pointed it out to him, he sure knew he did something he wasn't suppose to. I can't really stay mad at him, I mean look at that precious face.
