Oh didn't know he was that old. Yea teething is not your issue.... he's just being a puppy. You pretty much have to catch him doing the deed in order to correct him and stop the behavior. Try to redirect his attention to a toy that might satisfy his need to chew on hard things.

Cow hooves are rally good for this, they are hard and safe, no splintering. You can get them at the pet store. But enless you want you carpets stained be sure tp get the ones that are not favored. The smell when they chew on them will take some getting use to. It's different... but I'd rather smell that than have to do more repairs in my home.
