Dogs quickly become unrecognizable when they get lost/separate from their family. I would have sure to notify vet offices and shelters in your area to be on the safe side.

Thank you for pointing this out....there actually are dogs out there that can NOT have dentals for one reason or another...usually issues with size and anesthesia.....and unless a Yorkie has a very silky coat that does not require frequent brushing/combing out or it becomes unmanageable, your "regular" little Yorkie will become matted and frightful looking very quickly....most people do not put collars on Yorkies....especially if they are knowledgable about the issues of collars on toy dogs....This baby got out of somebodys home/back yard (during potty break) and you can rest assured they are frantic! If you have contacted the pound and rescue centers and groomers and all the vets, and if he is NOT microchipped, and if you have done an ad in the lost and found column in the paper, and you have posted flyers or signs around, and you get no response, then maybe they are from out of town or "passing thru", or maybe they dont miss the baby (UNBELIEVABLE!!).....IF ALL EFFORTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND ARE NOT PRODUCTIVE, THEN iI AM THRILLED THAT BABY HAS STUMBLED INTO A HOME WHERE HE WILL BE LOVED AND CARED FOR....CONGRATULATIONS! If you have never owned a Yorkie, there are many important things you need to know....I suggest the book, "Yorkies For Dummies".....that has all the basic knowledge you will need in order to care for this baby properly...
