| Can't believe it.... I am so bummed. I took Hope out today in her new bag and was only gone an hour. Had an appointment with my chiropractor then stopped at the market to pic up milk. I thought she was doing great being so quiet. I had stuck a chew toy in with her but apparently it wasn't enough cause when I came home and took her out she had chewed through the harness strap of the purse. I had it attached to her harness dress. UGH!!!!! Makes me sick knowing I just spent this much money only to have this happen the first day. : ( The bag itself is still in great shape. Any ideas how I can attach another strap to it or where I would even find one? Just glad I went with the less expensive bag even though this was alot for me right now. I just wanna cry! Oh well....it's just money right? : ( Sharon www.jenniferkelly.name Missing my baby girl! In My Heart Forever! |

oh no... I am so sorry!! My friend, Lisa, had something like that happen and she took it to a shoe repair place (I think it was at a flea market but you can find them almost anywhere) and she had it fixed for just a few dollars. How old is Hope.. I guess she is still in the "chewing" stage..

| oh im so sorry. if you sew maybe you can just find another fabric as close as possible and take out the chewed piece and insert a new one? hope you find a solution.

that is a great idea!! That is what a shoe repair place would do... just sew another peice on. It wouldn't even have to be leather. Just make sure you stitch several times..

When I had my KB repaired, they cut off the chewed section and added a metal "tack", grommet, whatever you would call it to connect the now 2 pieces of lead. Basically making the strap a little shorter and doubling the strength because the pleather was double thickness at this new, reinforced joint. I was charged $2. Good luck!

No, I don't sew...makes me miss my daughter even more cause she did! It's just been a blue day missing Jenny and then this! I dreamt about her last night which started my day off blue....waking up to again the realization that she's never coming home. I've been really good lately but every once in a while I get hit with what I call a "Jenny Day" and it seems like I lost her yesterday all over again. : ( Thanks for letting me vent! You are all awesome! |

| Sorry, that's ashame, I know you are bummed out for sure. Take it to a local leather or shoe repair shop, I bet they could repair it or at the least make a leather strap and use the clip off this one.

| Yep! Lisa, that's what my strap looks like only worse! At least it was just the strap & the rest of the bag was ok. I'll take before & after pics too! I still love this bag! Only wish they had thought to make the harness strap out of a stronger material. Thanks for posting the picture! I'm feeling better tonight & Hope has been an angel the rest of the day. I think she could tell I was upset even tho I didn't take it out on her. Do you think they can sense when we are sad? |

| Maybe they could attach a D ring to the carrier then just attach the clips to both ends of a chain, then clip one end into the D ring and the other to the harness. She couldn't chew thru the chain.

| I've taken my bag to a shoe repair shop to replace the zipper and it looks good as new. I definitely think they could fix the strap, no problem. Just make sure since Hope is still a puppy... don't leave the bag down where she can chew it when you're not watching.

| Yorkiedaze, I was wondering if I could do a chain instead of leather strap. Just want to make sure she is safe. Couversmom, Hope was in the bag with harness attached when she chewed through it! Sorry to hear others had similar problems, but thankful for the advice! |

| Here is how they fixed it at the leather repair shop. Not sure if you can see it well or not, but it is very much reinforced at that joint. Making it a little shorter also insured she couldn't chew on it as easily
