| The hair loss has me so confused! I hope it clears up on it's own in time. I'm so sad that she might have a UTI, but glad she got some antibiotics. It seems like she's a strong little girl. I'm glad she found her way into your home for some much needed love & care. Hugs for you & little Petunia

| This is such a touching story!...I'm so glad your husband was so willing to intervene in helping this pup.....I'm so glad this worked out for everyone. It sounds like you both will give this baby much needed love and care. As a side note, causes the hair loss could be caused my many things but one of them *could* be hypothyroidism. One of my boys had it but the vet said he didn't. After reading some of Dr.Dodds articles I insisted they run a 5 panel test and sure enough he was hypothyroid. This is some info.... | So happy that your DH saved this little girl and then went back to adopt her. The older little ones make such good pets. I have one that I fostered and then adopted that is really old (I would imagine 15 or so). She is the best little girl and is so appreciative that she now has a forever loving home. I have another one that was a rehome and when I got her she had ears just like Petunia. (leather ear)I started putting an anifungal cream on her and it cleared them up right away. I also am using the gerber water (I get it from walmart) and it has done wonders on my little malteses tear stains. If I run out and have to use regular water the stains come back. Again bless your hearts for taking this little one in - she will give you so much love and joy. My little Heidi was just a few days shy of 18 yrs when we lost her so they can live for a long time.
