So happy that your DH saved this little girl and then went back to adopt her. The older little ones make such good pets. I have one that I fostered and then adopted that is really old (I would imagine 15 or so). She is the best little girl and is so appreciative that she now has a forever loving home. I have another one that was a rehome and when I got her she had ears just like Petunia. (leather ear)I started putting an anifungal cream on her and it cleared them up right away. I also am using the gerber water (I get it from walmart) and it has done wonders on my little malteses tear stains. If I run out and have to use regular water the stains come back. Again bless your hearts for taking this little one in - she will give you so much love and joy. My little Heidi was just a few days shy of 18 yrs when we lost her so they can live for a long time.
