| I laughed and cried over this thread. She does seem a bit better tonight. Poor thing...I really felt awful earlier when she acted the way she did....and her siblings were really, really weird with her. It was a strange day for sure. Some of your comments were hilarious...some were touching. Thank you for all of the kind words. (except for Cathy who says I am going to hell ![]() No, I did not keep any of her hair. I suppose I should have...it was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I had taken her in to be groomed...and we always had to cut her skirt because her hair grows like a weed. I just had been thinking about it for a while..and something made me tell Claudia to take it all off. And...Off it came! Had I thought any longer, she would still have her hair. I did this a couple of years ago with Pippi and she acted strange for days! She now has a full coat again...but she does not have the beautiful hair Olivia has. I might let Olivia's grow back...will have to see how it goes. I know that she and I will enjoy this break...it really is a lot of work to keep them long like that.

| I think she looks absolutely adorable with her new cut and agree with Mike about her being more sad from the experience than the look!! My Brooklyn totally hates grooming time...she goes into hiding when she sees me take Oliver or Ben out to the garage (thats where my grooming happens!) I have to hunt her down when it is her turn

| She looks beautiful either way...plus it has been so hot there, you are actually doing her a favor.

| She went from 5.5 to 5 pounds. I agree that I did her a favor...and myself. That hair was a ton of work...beautiful, but basically useless unless I had needed another mop.

| I've always been envious of Olivia's top knot - her braid is thicker than my own! I saved a picture of her on my desktop awhile ago, and show it to people who give me a hard time about putting my boy's hair in a top knot. I say "See, THIS is how yorkie's are supposed to look." She's still a gorgeous girl. Since she hated being groomed, than I'm sure you'll both be much more happier now with her new little "pixie" cut. It makes her look like a puppy. |

| awwww that is SO sweet....you really have a picture of my precious girl? You know, my Olivia came from a horrible background and I always like to show her to people to say that yes, little rescues are no different that other pups. Pixie....perfect description of her look now. Thank you!

| The before pix shows a beautiful girl - a really wow look. She does look a little sad but I think (like the others) it is the stress from the groomers. Her face is just adorable and yes, you now can put little dresses on her. I cut Zoey's hair for the first time a few weeks ago - just her body hair - cut to an inch below her tummy. She looks cute. | When Sophie was still with me, I kept her hair long for a long long time but then I decided to go get her a puppy cut and at first I think she was mad at me but after a couple of days she loved it so we kept it that way. Easier for me and her
