My sweet Olivia has a beautiful coat, but I think sometimes I have kept it for all the wrong reasons. Finally got brave and had it cut today......
It will be so much easier for both of us! :)

LOL, did you donate all that hair to Locks of Love? :p As much as I love a well-groomed long-haired Yorkie, I think a short cut is a win-win situation. The dogs seem to love it and it's soooo much easier to take care of. I think she looks beautiful. You could have posted a happier "after" picture, though! She looks sad!

Oh please....I really did want to keep it. It was so beautiful. Every time I groomed her I felt guilty because sometimes she would scream and it made me feel just awful. It was so beautiful...none of my pups have a coat like that. I thought I was doing both of us a favor as it is a lot of work to keep up. She is sad now...I just cannot believe it. The others won't leave her alone...keep sniffing her...I don't get it. And, she is nippy with them. It is weird. Right now she is curled up in the crate with my foster Gabby....just looking at me with those eyes.
Here I thought I was doing her a favor. :( Think I am going to hell for this? :eek:

And, I told her that now she can wear pretty dresses. That did not seem to brighten her up at all. :( Poor little angel.

She is so cute and I know she will be much happier. I use to like the long hair on my dogs but decided it is much easier to have it short. I think if you give her lots of extra love and treats you will be saved from hell.

She really looks adorable. I think you will be glad you got her haircut and she'll start to come around. Maybe she's just a little cranky from the experience rather than .....gosh, her appearance :queen3:

What a precious little face she has! You couldn't really tell with the hair long.

She wont be sad once she realizes she wont have to sit still for as long to let you take care of it also how much cooler it is! She is a doll either way!

Oh, shush, ;) she's probably just stressed out from the groomer visit. Once she gets up and walks around and realizes she's 2 pounds lighter, she'll be happier than ever! Give it a few days, at least. And if not, it'll grow out better than ever!

Love Olivia's new haircut. But, such a sad face.

Hopefully she will be strutting her stuff very shortly in your hot Texas weather and we get to see a happy picture soon.
