| Floppy Ears? Does anyone have a yorkie who's ears arent standing? My baby Tucker is 12 weeks old now and his ears still are not standing. Ive tried the massaging of the ears, and taping them. I feel so bad when I tape them up he doesnt seem to mind but I hate it. Anyway it didnt work, is it normal for a yorkie to have floppy ears? Also my baby is a big boy at just 6 weeks he was 2.2 lbs does that mean he is going to be huge? |

| I think it just takes time. My Meka's ears were'nt standing at 9 wks... And it was about a month or so before they stood on their own. I never taped em or anything... Your probably a little anxious, but I think his lil ears will stand on their own

| Max's ears didn't stand up until he was around 13 or 14 weeks. I'm not sure exactly when but his pictures at 11 weeks have floppy ears and his pictures at 15 weeks have ears that stand up. For several weeks he had one ear that stood up and the other flopped over. I have read that when they're teething a lot of times their ears will fall. This picture is of Max at 11 weeks old.

| I have the same problem. I trimmed Koda's ears, but he won't let me tape them up! And I feel so bad trying to do so, so I stopped. The one ear stands up, then sits back down at times. Does it matter if they never go up?

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Some Yorkies have ears that will never stand up. My Krissy and her daughter Kayla have ears that are down butr Krissy's other puppies some are up and some are down. My Chelsey took until she was 6 months for her ears to go up.

| My Little Rocky's ears never went up. (he is 5 years old) They are the floppy ears like everyone is talking about. But I think he is a doll anyways. That's my boy! He is pictured under my name. Darlene |

| Madeleine's ears are floppy. I never tried taping them because my thought was if they didn't stand on there own then they were meant to be floppy! I think they are so cute too! Also, a lot of people say it's usually the bigger yorkies that have floppy ears but my little girl is 4 1/2 pounds, so it isn't just the bigger yorkies.

| My little Rosie's ears go up sometimes, and sometimes they are down. She is 15 months old. I was hoping hers would stay up, but I guess they were not meant to be, so I have two with floppy ears. Then I have Romeo (Yorkie/Poo) and of course His ears are floppy, just like his mother (the poodle). What a houseful! Darlene |
