| I just got back, it was such a great event! I've never seen so many yorkies in the same place, and all for such a great cause. Eventhough they didn't get through all of the contests since they were running long, you could tell alot of hard work was put into this event. I really hope SAY, raised alot of money from this event to continue to help more yorkies in need. One contest we did was the "Biggest Yorkie", eventhough Chip weighs more than Harley - Harley was tied for first with his brother from another mother. Seriously, Harley and Kipper (the other winner) looked like twins. All the winners recieved a small trophy, and a can of Wagatha's treats. We also participated in the Rescue Parade, over 50 dogs at the event were in it. Some of the stories were so heart breaking it took alot for me not to cry. I saw a few other YT'rs there, Amy & her fiance w/Diddy and posh, Nancy w/ Gus, Lorrie w/family of pups, and Diane w/Murphy who I carpooled with (Thanks again for driving Diane ).First pic is Harley and his twin Kipper Second pic is Murphy before the Mardi Gras King contest

| It was so nice meeting everyone today! We had a lot of fun! Diddy has been sleeping since we got home. He is worn out It was nice to see Amy, Chip, and Harley again. Congrats to Harley for winning a contest! He is so sweet! I got to meet ... Nancy and her little cutie pie Gus. Loved his shirt! Lorrie and her family and those precious little puppies! Diane with Murphy. I loved his little costume. The picture Amy took is great!

| I third all those comments! That was a really great event. Marilyn and her volunteers must have worked so hard to make it as beautiful as it was - kudos to all of you. I thought it was especially nice when the volunteers recognized Marilyn and Don. To the YT ladies I met yesterday, it was so nice to meet you and see your babies, and I can't wait to do it again! Poor Gus was so pooped, he slept almost all the way home, but he was having a good time, too. It was hard listening to some of the horror stories about Marilyn's rescues, but it was nice seeing how beautiful and well taken care of those babies are now. I hope that SAY raised a lot of money yesterday; they deserve it! |

| OMG - I can't believe it is over. Thank you to everyone who came! It was a great event and we are just waiting to hear how much was raised. I was so happy to meet everyone (at least I think I met everyone from YT). I just wish I could have spent more time talking to all of you. I felt like a chicken without it's head running all over the place. I am sorry some of the contests had to be cut. Next time (and yes there will be a next time, Marilyn (lol)) we will have to start earlier. We just ran out of time. Again, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who attended for all your support. I hope you had a great time and just know that you have all helped to save more yorkies!!!!! Heidi |

| Even without the other contests, it was just a fabulous event and a great time for humans and furballs alike. Don't worry about those other contests! Maybe some folks would be interested next time in a small YT gathering post-event? |

| I really wanted to go (im so familar with that hotel, its where the dvytc specialty is every year) but.. We were going to a bbq cookoff, someone from the food network throwndown show was there. Im so not into bbq but was excited about going, something different to do. Well we never made it to wildwood, NJ the parkway was way beyond backed up and we gave up and came home. So I should of insisted on the yorkie day instead

| Thank you! (blushing) Although he does need another haircut; he was sick a couple months ago and was on IV fluids, so his right leg still looks a bit weird from being shaved. |

| Been busy the last few days- Just wanted to post that Murphy and I had a fun time. It was great to meet other YT members. It was amazing seeing all those yorkies in one place. The rescue stories were amazing. Thanks Amy for posting the picture of Murphy, even after he got sick on your purse. Chip and Harley were perfect gentlemen. Thanks Lorrie for making Murphy his bandana. Your "crew" were adorable. Can't wait until next year!

| If anyone is interested in becoming a foster family, please get in touch with either me or Marilyn. We have more pups coming in and not enough foster families to take them in. I know it is a hard thing to let them go after you've taken care of them, but it is so worth it when you see them with their loving families! I was so excited to see several of my foster pups and their families at Yorkie Day - it was the highlight of the day! Please consider becoming a foster parent. Heidi |
