I'm so sorry for your loss. I just lost my Brandi back in April, and she was only 2 1/2 too, so I know how upsetting it is to lose a baby so young. You asked how you'll get through this - all I can say is that it takes time. I still think about her every day, but the people here at YT are so kind and understanding, that they are helping me though this, and they can help you too.

I can;t believe how many people out there care. All I can say is thank you! Each day I go to work and I'm ok. Each day I come home and I'm not ok. It helps to hear from all of you. For all of you that have lost a baby like my Lily I pray that she is up there will all of them eating all the treats she wants and playing and running to her heart content. I miss you baby girl I miss you Lily bear!

I just want to say I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your baby. I just lost my yorkie this past January and it was the worst day of my life. Coming home to an empty house and seeing her last little pee on her pee pad tore me apart. She was 12 1/2 years old and we were not ready for this. Unexpected ; Keally had a brain tumor and we always did everything for her until our vet said there was nothing we could do. We were devastated by this. My husband and I are going to get another bundle of love in fact we are waiting to get one from a reputable breeder. Please take a day at a time our prayers are for you. Remember those wonderful memories and maybe in time another baby will come into your life. Everybody on this YT are so helpful and they are always there to help you. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss! I know how you feel, I lost my little Jeter in January and he had just turned 2 in September. His was a freak accident that took his life and it was such a shock to me, still is. I miss him so very much. Even thou I have my other 2 Yorkies, not having my Jeter with me still brakes my heart, he was MY boy! I am hoping to get a new little male in the future but right now I am still grieving for my sweet little guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may time heal your broken heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to put my 8 yr old black lab to sleep this past Monday and I'm heartbroken as well. I know exactly what you mean when you say your house is lonely and you feel like you could have done things differently and that you didn't protect her. That is exactly how I feel and I think that is completely normal as a parent. But you did all that you could for her and you gave her a better chance than maybe someone else wouldn't have. Everything you said is exactly how I'm feeling at this moment about my dog...all the memories and things you miss that you know she'd be doing if she were here. But she is no longer in pain and you did the best for her you could do. I'm so sorry for your loss and my heart breaks for you. I cried when I read your post. I also have 6 yr old yorkie so that has helped me...I hope you are doing ok.

I know exactly what you're going through. You may think I don't, but I do. My Trixie went through the EXACT same thing just these past 2 weeks. She was only 9 months old. My heart is broken. I've never been so upset in my life. She passed away this sunday because her liver failed.

I understand how everyone who has lost a cherished dog feels. I had to make the decision to put my 16-year old Bungee to sleep three months ago. Even when you know your pet is out of pain and is in a better place (dogs DO go to heaven, because what would heaven be without our dogs?), for a while it hurts every time you come home and suddenly realize your pet isn't there to greet you. You never stop missing them, but the hurt eventually heals and you find that you smile (most of the time) instead of crying when you think about them.

i really hope you're doing okay! i lost my little nika so young too a couple weeks ago, only 6 years old. so sorry to hear the story of your little angel. it brought me to tears! they will live on in our hearts forever!
