I am so sorry about your baby. We lost our Greyhound to cancer 4 years ago...she was 13. The pain lessens, but we still miss her. Hugs and prayers...

I know exactly how you feel-when I had to put my Toffee down - my heart was broken -although she was 15-1/2 I just hadn't prepared myself. I came home to her stuff and an empty silent house. I cried and cried- I would be out and just start crying. I got Mr. Darcy 2 months later,and Miss Lizzie this year, they have mended my heartache- but will never replace her.....so I am so, so sorry - hugs....

So sorry to hear about Lily and I really feel for you and her. Just thank her for the time she gave to you and the love you shared. I have just lost my 9 year Pippa dee due to kdney failure and only found out the day before we had to have her put to sleep because she lost her appetite for a couple of days and i got told that my 11 year old Bonnie boy had lymphoma at the same time and he his still with us but not the little soldier we have always known him as.
Like you i cannot get over losing Pippa and feel so alone but have to keep going for Bonnies sake as he has only days left now.
You know in your heart that you did everything you could and if she could, she would have stayed with you, if not in pain.
She was far too young to be taken and sometimes i don't understand why we go through this in a lifetime.
One day you will smile and remember only the good times with Lily and maybe this will help with losing her, though you will never forget.
People say that as one dies, one is born and maybe somewhere out there will be another Lily for you in the future. I do hope so. Take care, Sherri

So sorry for loss, i feel your pain...

When you mentioned the little "treat dance" Lily would do, we called those whoopie doo's. My DH Husky would that EVERY TIME before getting a treat
