				 | Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support and comfort. Its been almost 6 months since I precious Dior was taken from me and I still think of him everyday. There is not one day that passed that his little face doesn't flash before my eyes. Everytime I pass by a pet shop or even at target ( pet section), I don't stop to look at the toys and think of myself... my Dior would of love this toy. I would have to control my tears and swallow my sadness. Somedays I do remember just the good times we had but on bad days I would cry myself to sleep still. I am not sure if I ever will ever get over the sadness .... I think I have a very tough time to let go. On a happier note, I started to volunteer in an animal shelter. I get to spent time with puppies which just great. In each dog I search for the loving eyes I once knew and the gentle spirit that touched my heart deeply. As for the case... nothing has happened yet. The pit on owner finally respond and in the next 30 days I hope to get some progress. I truly hope this article will bring attention to the pit owners to be responsible and put a muzzle on the dogs to prevent heart breaking tragedy. This is something that can never be reverse and God knows I would give anything to see my little boy again. |

				 | Good luck with your legal case. Something needs to be done about people who own big dogs and don't control them. I complained about a big pit bull in my neighborhood that was let loose and it has been removed, but there are still two really big dogs living near me. One looks like a shepherd and the other is a sharpei. Both bark and I stay away from their street. They are tied up, but could get loose, of course. It's sad that I can't walk my small dogs in my own neighborhood and feel safe. By the way, I live in a mobile home court and there is a rule that you can't have a dog over 20 pounds and it has to be an indoor dog, no dogs tied up outside. Many people complained about the big pit bull that barked constantly and threatened people when he was loose. I haven't complained about any other dogs and won't unless they are running loose and threaten me and my dogs. |

				 | What a great article. I'm glad it's in print. It happens way too often. I hope court goes well. Dior was adorable.

				 | Good job, Mom! My heart just breaks for you and little Dior. It is admirable of you to be his "voice". So many times this tragic death has been repeated and for the most part owners are helpless to do anything. Your standing up for little Dior and this horrible injustice will let it be known that he "was" and that he is as important to you as a child would be! When we make a decision to bring these babies into our lives we make a committment to them [at least Patrick and I did] ... owners of "bully dogs" should make the same committment ... I know there are some who do. God bless you and heal your broken heart. RIP sweet baby boy.

				 | What a brave and wonderful thing you are doing for Dior. I hope you win and it causes AT THE VERY LEAST these dogs to be muzzled. I hope you are able to find joy working with the puppies. Also I hope you will be able to remember all of the funny and joyous things that Dior did to make you laugh, until that becomes you main memory of Dior, not the tragic time. Bless you for the work you are doing through your pain. |

				 | My heart aches for you My heart aches so for you! I cannot stop the tears. Not only did your little die a painful senseless death, you were injured & then attacked by haters. I understand the point of the amount of $$$ Hopefully this will be a quick suit & a precedent will be set that NO ONE is above the law and that if you want to own a dog that has such lethal potential then prepared for the cost and I'm not just talking about a fine, but the knowledge that your animal took the life of another. We lost our Maine Coon cat last summer due to two large dogs that came into our driveway where our cat was lounging on our boat. They jumped onto the boat & killed him. I caught them doing it!!! The law said that my cat should have been inside our fenced yard, not in our drive that sits in our yard. We have neighbors that we have actually photographed training to fight & called the police & our aspca so much they finally took the dog & fined the individual. One neighbor said that they knew what they were doing but was fearful of retaliation. It was a chance we had to take. It could have been one of our grands or furbies that could be attacked, we don't want to take any more chances. Again, I am soooooo sorry for your loss.

				 | So sorry Im so sorry for the hell you went through with losing precious Dior. I think it's good that you took the owners of the other dog to court so they were made responsible for their actions. But i just want to say that no dog is born evil (not even pitbulls or rotties) they all have hearts and spirits the same as cute little yorkies. Unfortunatley all dogs are at the mercy of the people that own them, and it's the experiences that humans put dogs through that make dogs aggressive. If a yorkie or a chihuaha attacked another dog it wouldn't inflict any pain but the more powerful breeds are potential killers. People should be strictly vetted before purchasing a dog, and aggressive breeds owners should by law be forced to take them to dog training classes. |
