Dior's Article in NY Daily News! This is a true miracle from God! I never would have dreamt that Dior's story would be published in a newspaper! You guys have seen the struggles I went thru losing Dior and if this story prevents even one tragedy from happening to others.... it made the pain a bit bearable and the future brighter. It is not what happens to you, its how you respond that shows faith and trust in the Lord. I like to share a verse in the bible: "And being absolutely certain that whatever promise He is bound by, He is able to make good" ( Roman 4:21) Thanks for your caring and kindness through my darkest days. I am forever grateful for your strength and love. Owner of mauled pooch sues |
Your story still breaks my heart. I am glad you are fighting to have this heard, something should be done about big dogs that attack. I don't think they should have a 2nd chance by being given back to their owner. |
I am so happy for you that you are getting results for your pain and suffering. So many of these terrible endings just go no where. It's a terrible tragedy that happened to Dior and other's like him when it dosen't have to be that way. People need to take responsibility for their pets. I see it daily where I live how a certain few walk their pit's with such pride and confidence. Meanwhile one pit took the eye out of my neighbor's dog. Owner stated he's never done anything like that before. It must have been the lasha's bulging eyes that attracted him! Denial like most of the owner's. I hope you continue to be rewarded for what you are asking. No one want's to see a dog lose it's life but when it is dangerous to other's it just has to be. Good luck to you, |
I am so sorry for your loss :( |
This just breaks my heart, I cannot stop my tears. I hope everything works out. |
im so sorry.. what a shame |
I am so glad that word is getting out about this tragedy. And I'm so sorry for what you've been through. |
I'm happy they did a story on it and I'm also glad you decided to pursur a legal case. Maybe yours will be a precedent set. I love to walk my girls but I am truly afraid. We have many dogs that our loose some on their own property and others just loose. Being on their own property loose to me makes no difference when they are not fenced. Do their owners really believe if they see a dog walk by that their dog is going to continue to stay on their property. Of course not they will at the least approach that dog. It's very scary especially when we have little ones and these dogs out weigh them by so much. It's getting terrible. I'm sorry for you and Dior and I really hope that her death makes a difference in how these cases are handled. These little dogs are not merchandise and can't just be replaced and right now this is what the law allows (cost of medical spent and cost of replacement of the dog) It's a damn shame. Best of luck. P.S. I think it's really nice that you are going to donate the $$ to rescue. Elaine (mom to four rescues) |
I too hope this case sets a precedent that off leash dog attacks or any dog attack will not be tolerated. I still feel so sorry for you for what happened to Dior. :( Best Wishes on your court case. |
Alot of people are also linking the article on facebook. We\'re all rooting for you! |
Sorry for your loss :(, but i am glad it was put on the newspaper so that more people are aware. |
oh nooo i feel soo bad. im sorry for ur loss. rip little Dior :( |
I hope you win BIG. Poor little Dior. The comments under the article are those of ignorant people. You have the right to walk your dog, no matter how tiny it might be, without the dog being killed. That sidewalk belonged to Dior as much as it did to Spike. R.I.P. little Dior. |
I\'m getting goosebumps and tearing all at the same time. Good Luck in your case, I remember your posts in earlier threads and again, I\'m truly sorry for your loss and pain. God Bless, rest in peace, little Dior |
