| Hi I have two male dogs. Seamus is a 6 yr old neutered boxer and Snickers is a 16 week old intact yorkie. I have never had any problems with house breaking. We got snickers when he was 8 weeks old and he has only had 2 accidents in the house. He goes both outside and will use a puppy pad. He mostly goes outside, but when I am not home he will use the pad. At fist he used the pad most of the time but now he will only use the pad if I am gone for a long time. I plan to completely eliminate the pad when he about 4 months. I think the key is consistency. Feed at the same time every day and take them out at the same time every day. puppies need to go out a lot more as they get older they will learn to wait for the right time. My yorkie will work for treats. Every time I take him out I use the same command "go potty" and when he goes I give him a treat and say "thank you". I also think it helps that my boxer is very well trained and has shown him the ways of a good dog. I love male dogs. |

| i have a boy yorkie who is 8 weeks old now. if you train them young and devote your time to their training needs, he will be fine. he has a couple accidents in the house but for the most part i take him out every 1/2 hour and when he goes i praise him and tell him "outside". now he waits by the door

| Pao was easy to train. When I got him at 12 weeks old, he pretty much knew how to use his wee pad so it was really a breeze. He had very very few accidents. He doesn't mark in the house even if we go to someone else's house. He marks every tree outside and that is fine for me. He is not neutered yet and he doesn't mark, doesn't hump. I feel that it is not the matter of the dog being male or female. They each have their own different personalities. Some males mark, some don't; some females mark, some don't. I am happy with my little boy for what he is
