| I have a boy who is 15 months. I had him fixed at 6 months and he still squats to pee He has been completely potty trained since he was around 5 months. And he is the sweetest thing.... I seem to prefer boys myself, and I'm also getting Harleys baby brother tomorrow I even told the breeder before the new pups were born that I ONLY wanted a boy. Well she had 3 girls and 1 boy... so I didn't even have to choose.

| I prefer boys as well, girls just seem to have their own thing goin on and only want your attention on THEIR time. Whereas boys are constantly seeking your approval and welcome attention at any given oppurtunity. lol. Its all a matter of taste. Girls are more independant, boys are more lovey.

| Max is two years old on the 15th and he is completely house trained and does not mark and he is not fixed. The only time he does mark is when hubby comes home from the flea market but I watch him like a hawk so he doesnt fill dads shoes. I love little boys as all the ladies say they are so loveable, but a little girl would be nice, with dresses and bows.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy's not fully housebroken, he knows to pee on the pads but he also goes in the house, he marks in the house and in the hallways, other places. He's not neutered tho so that could be it. He really doesn't hump, occasionally he will try to but we tell him no and he stops. He is 1 yr 3 months.

On the potty issue... my dog took about 6 months for me to trust him completly in the house but I leave and I know he wont go [ke knows it's his house too, and wants to keep it clean] but he will mark everybush and post in our parking lot...LOL. All in all you have to see which puppy boy or girl stands out to you..look for personality not sex.....good luck! | |

| My Conner is 1 1/2 years old. He has been completely housebroken since he was 9 months old - has never had an accident. He goes outside and does a little bark when he wants to go out. I work part-time, but my sister comes to my house every day to play with Conner and take him potty. Conner was neutered at 6 months. My little guy is a mama's boy. He loves my husband, but we have a special bond. I don't know if it is because he is a boy or because I am the one to take him for walks and I feed him. I also love the bows and dresses for the girls, but Conner has a lot of shirts (including his "#1 Yankee Fan" that he will wear tonight), sweaters, coats and pj's (from go.fetch). I would not trade my guy for anything.

| Copper started marking at 5 months. He doesn't do this in my house but out in the yard, and he has to wear a belly band when we go for visits to other houses with dogs becuse he will lift his leg on everything. doesn't really pee that much when he does this but still we keep a bellyband on him anytime we visit people. He is schedueled to be nutered next month.

| Shooter doesn't like any of our 3 sons, when anyone of them comes to the house he will pee on the couch where they were sitting when they leave. One day our oldest son was visiting and Shooter got right in front of his feet and POOPED I couldn't believe it, he just looked up at him like "What ya gonna do about it?" He also peed on my daughter-in-law's leg. She was a little bit upset.

| Brody doesn't mark in the house. He does mark every hydrant, tree and post on our walks though. He also only lifts his leg to pee outside. He isn't fixed yet at 9 mos. We are planning on it by the end of the month though. The one thing that we do need to watch is his belly. We keep his hair longish and it has a tendency to collect wee. I'm sure there is a way to groom him that would lessen the problem. We just haven't found a groomer yet. In the meantime, we keep baby wipes handy to wash him up.

| I have two girls and a boy. All were difficult for me to train, but I really do think it was (is) my fault. My boy is probably an oddity, but he is not neutered and he is a stud dog, he never has ever marked anything in my house. Ever! He will go to the door to be let out and if no one is there and the door is closed he will go right there on the rug. As far as them being more loving, my boy is the one that follows me from room to room and wants to only be near me. He is a real momma's boy!

| Deiter is 11 mons and he is house trained. I still keep a wee wee pad out just in case. He doesn't mark anything either. When we go outside, he sometimes hike but mostly pees like a girl. I did get him neutered at 7 mons.

| Winston is the best, he is our golden child. It only took us 2 months to potty train him. He will not do number 1 in the house no matter what. It can be raining, storming, .. and he will go out. He is a my snuggle bunny and a total Mommy's boy. Maggie, she is 19 months and still have some accidents here and there. We never thought we'd ever get her housetrained.

| I have a boy and a girl, but Aubrey my boy was my 1st yorkie. it took me a while to house break him and I think the reason why is because I wasn't sticking to a schedule, so he was probably 6-7 months before he was potty trained. Now Dakota my girl is almost house broken maybe one accident a week if that at almost 5 months! |
