i would like to see pics...maybe we can all come together to see if we think he is or not. plus..if the thoughts that he is not pure is because he is taller...well...we all know some of us have larger yorkies that are as pure as can be...but just got a bit bigger..so not "standard". not that it matters or anything...but i think she got him for a LOT less than 95% of us have paid for yorkies. but like i said...that doesn't really matter...you pay for something and expect to get what you were told you were getting. i can completely relate to not being happy about that...IF that is what happened.

| Is the puppy just not cute or is it just a matter of the puppy not being full breed? It sounds like you didn't pay full breed price...I can't imagine not loving a puppy just because he's not cute enough!!! I don't mean to be insensitive at all I just think you should probably put it into perspective about what the pup looks like! I recently saw a pup at a fair that was supposed to be a full bred yorkie with super tall skinny ears and a skinny nose- not the cutest yorkie in the world but he was sweet and his owner loved him! Mutts usually make the best pets anyway! |

| I'm sure your little one is as cute as can be. Hang in there...pepe mint- Tilly has an underbite as well but I think it brings extra character to her. Here are some pics showing it off. LOL

| My little Bailey has the longest legs i've ever seen AND he has floppy ears too. I can assure you he is a purebred because I have the papers. When I first brought Bailey home, he was the same way (ran away from me), didn't want to be a lap dog, a HUGE ball of energy. He just need time, attention and some training. He's the best little companion you could ever wish for now. I'm sure your little one can tell your frustrations and that's causing him to run away from you more and act out more (dirty in the house). He might have been on his way to being house broken but in a new surrounding he may need a little bit of review because i'm sure he's got a lot of emotions going on. |

And, with all due respect, negative remarks about how the poor baby looks seem shallow. Didn't you get a picture of him before making a commitment? Since that seems to be important to you now. As everyone else has said, give him time ... hair grows .... I just feel so sad for this Yorkie, being judged solely on his looks. Please give him lots of love and I am sure he will reciprocate. We all know house training takes time ... please give him a chance ... and post pictures, perhaps someone else on here would like to reach out to him. I do not wish to step on anyone's toes here, just want to see this baby getting the love he deserves ....

| He probably is running away from you because he is not quite sure what is going on, is scared and trust takes time to build. Even my baby who has been with me for a year now runs away from me every now and then because he needs some of his own space . Every yorkie/dog has different personalities. It is not neccesary that it is a bad thing that they run away from you at the start and a bond won't be created. Sometimes if instant love doesn't happen, a good solid bond will be built with time and effort and you never know maybe you might find that a good solid bond built over time is more better than an instant love. Whatever you do with your furbaby, good luck with your decision. May he find a loving home as he deserves. If you cannot accept his looks, find him a loving home. I am sure many people will be so willing to take him in and give him the love and care he needs.
