| They named him "Iggy". Since he already realizes it as his name, I probably won't change it. I don't really like the name, but it's good he knows it so.... |

| do you think you could ever love him despite his appearance? maggie isn't perfect in appearance, and her attitude is very snotty, but i couldn't love her more. you just got him today, right? if you simply cannot love him because of the way he looks...then you probably won't bond with him and will have a hard time properly training him. the problems you are saying you are having with him are all problems that can be corrected with proper training....but his looks cannot be changed,..except the natural changes he will go through. i really don't want to be mean...so please don't take it that way.,..but if you did not like the way he looked...why did you buy him? again..please...i am just trying to understand what all has happened and what your thoughts are. i do not know the history so am asking these things from an outsiders view. i am sure it will all work out i got my cocker and have always HATED cockers. i never thought i could love her...but i do. and i fell in love with her very quickly after getting her....and i have now had her for almost 6 years. so maybe this can be one of those situations with you and your new baby

| How tall is he? Try putting a shirt on him maybe he will look better till his hair grows out.

I think what's getting to me is that I'm jus tnot sure that he'd be purebred looking at him. I haven't really seen a Yorkie that looks really like that. They probably exist but I haven't seen them. So I get those doubts in my mind... After all, his CKC registration isn't worth the paper its printed on. We all know that.

The weird thing about his grooming job is that the hair on his ears is LOOOOONG. To the point of weighing down his ears. So why not trim his ears at least if yu're going to shave the rest of him?? Just weird.

| If the hair is that short it can make them look thin and odd. Give it some time. Since he is 6 months maybe that is making it a little tougher to bond especially since having other ones before. Sometimes it's hard to not compare them with your other babies and maybe that is causing some of the frustration. Best of luck and I hope it works out for you guys.

| It does not hurt to change his name. I had some friends do it and it worked out great. He is still young enough and that may make him feel like he is yours.

| When I first got Gracey she would not come near me. She still flattens herself down to ground when I pick her up and we've had her for almost a month now. As for his legs.....maybe it's just his cut, when I cut Cody's hair I was shocked at how much leg he had and the pooping in the house is probably because he's very unsure of everything and scared especially if this is his second rehoming in as many weeks. Just my opinion though.

i think so too ![]() she has an underbite (i think that is the one where the bottom jaw sticks out too far LOL), her ears aren't "perfect", her tail was docked too short, her hair is half straight, and the back half of her is curly, and she has a bad attitude sometimes...but she is PERFECT in my book i wouldn't trade her for all the money in the world!!!!!!!!

| Well, I would be a little upset if I thought I was paying for a full bred and it wasn't. |

| I agree that you should give it time. Potty accidents in a new environment are very normal. Just be patient and consistent and reward, reward, reward when he gets it right. Puppies do go through awkward stages, so give it time. A new name would be fine I think. Yorkies are very smart, and he'll adjust. Maybe a name that rhymes with Iggy would help...at least the "Y" on the end. Good luck. I hope it all works out.
