To answer your question about costs. People can only charge what people are willing to pay. Sad to say, but if someone wants to pay a high price for an unregistered Yorkiepoo there will be someone out there willing to sell it to them.
In MY OPINION, the Biewers are a bit different because we can trace them all back to the original yorkie parents. There is a standard that we should be following if we are going to show and/or breed them. Of course there are people out there that do not want to show to validate the correctness of their Biewers, but insist on selling all of their puppies as show/breeders for high prices. Most responsible Biewer breeders register their litters in Germany, microchip their puppies, have shown their adults, DNA parents and puppies, do health screenings. I am sure you recognize this list as what the responsible yorkie breeders do also. Can the breeders of the unshowable partis and the chocolates say the same thing (Again, I know not all Biewer breeders can say this either, so don't hate me for saying what I FEEL should be done.)

trust me if i could trace the chocolates back to anscestors i would i would love to know who decided they should not be worthy. Germany took the beiwer and we have our standard. i dont know why people charge more for one than the other actually but i do certify my dogs keep up with parents and pedigrees of over 12 years for this line and all dogs are microchiped and medical just like anyother would do. im trying to do right by the dog no someones opinion i guess. good questions

Yeah i just know a lot of partis/biewers sold for a lot as well a lot of chocolates but i hear more fuss about breeding chocolates and selling for more than i do biewers/partis. bt iknow i have not read every post so i may be wrong but from just what i have read.I guess this what is trying to be stated lol. Most say dont pay outrageous for a chocolate when asked on this forum. Which i probably would pay more than 2000 for any yorkie( well maybe if i was rich) but im not. Do you see what im saying?

I am glad I did not offend. That is never my intention, but sometimes the written words don't quite have the same connotation as if we could say it outloud. It doesnt bother me when people breed biewers (partis)or chocolates but im not a breeder or a shower. But I see some people make a huge fuss because chocolates get bred purposely by breeders (or sold more expensive) but do they feel the same about biewers?

but there is a thread right now where a guy had some partis born and i know it was rare because they were born from 2 stardard colored yorkies but everyone was like that is so rare and special and were saying things like "arent they more expensive too" trying to tell them man what just happened because he didnt know anything about partis! But then they (not the same person) complain when chocolates are sold for more $$.

i have nothing against any of the yorkies i love them all and want one of each lol or many of each. But i dont understand some of the threads like the one i just talked about above.

AGain and Again, the Biewer is NOT accepted by the German Kennel Club. The Biewer had started its own registry that so far no bona fide registry of any country has accepted. The Biewer Club would have to get their info together and apply for recognition. That has not happened.

Where did anyone say that the German Kennel Club has registered them? I think Txgurl06 just means that they are a German dog and are registered in Germany, no mention of which club. I also just stated that they were registered in Germany, but not which club (Learned my lesson on putting German one club over a German registry on another thread). Sorry if we have riled you up. I do not agree with "breeders" that are purposely breeding faults. The Yorkie was never supposed to be chocolate, parti, golden, or born blue. Why would anyone want to breed a fault back into a breed?? Maybe we should all start changing all the breed standards for every breed!! How about Labradors with spots like a dalmation?? How about a chocolate Samoyed?? Maybe we should do away with all the breeds as we know them and create new ones?? I can see the dog show of the future: All chocolates in ring 1, gray dogs in ring 2, parti dogs in ring 3, etc.LOL
What I am getting at is why change a breed standard that has been the standard for many, many years just to please the few that want to purposely breed in faults.?You would not have the Yorkie breed today if it wernt for the dedicated Yorkie fanciers that didnt deviate from the standard.Its pretty amazing that 99% of the responsible breeders do not have any of these designer colors.

Ok all this drama on these threads really needs to stop yes we all have a right to our own opinion but we also have the right to say them in a respectable and educational way with class and TACT.... with that being said i feel that this is what everyone is trying to get across...

1. Yorkies have a standard set by the YTCA and AKC the standard is to protect and improve the breed and show breeders strive to better the breed by keeping to the standard set

2. Other breeder would like the chocolate, parti and other colors recognized so they could show and breed freely

MPO....... I don't think that chocolates should be able to be show as a yorkie if they are to be recognized it should be their own breed like the Biewer has done. Chocolates and other colors are not the standard for this breed. Yes they are beautiful yes they are wonderful pets and maybe show quality in their own set catagory.

You can't compare a chocolate or anyother color against the standard of what a yorkie is supposed to be so why would you want to have them in the same catagory with them?? Why not set out to make their own place?

totally wrong colours should be sold for much less than the true YOrkie colour in my opinion.
As for pedigrees, my pet puppies are sold for the same price as they all have many championships in their pedigree at least 75% if not more. I don't have pedigrees with little or no champions. I wouldn't be breeding them if they were like that.
If I were selling a show dog that is a different story. I have no idea what I sell them for because I don't sell show dogs. I have had some pretty nice dogs sold for pet spay/neutered because of that.
