Whats the difference between a Chocolate, Biewer,and....
 

How is a chocolate different than biewer or parti? I know they are different colors and stuff but All three are a gene abnormality? right?

Okay i dont want my head bitten off but with all the threads that have been going on i would really like to know. This site is the educate so then i would like to be educated. Thanks!

Yes, from my understanding they are all the result of a recessive gene (different ones of course for the chocolate and the parti/Biewer). Biewers have a standard that should be followed like the traditional yorkies. The Chocolates and the partis don't have a standard yet.

i mean i know what a chocolate is and i know what a biewer is and i know what a parti is. Biewers are excepted because they a german right so in germany they are accepted for the standard? right or wrong?

It doesnt bother me when people breed biewers (partis)or chocolates but im not a breeder or a shower. But I see some people make a huge fuss because chocolates get bred purposely by breeders (or sold more expensive) but do they feel the same about biewers?

i know yorkiekist you feel the same about both i have read a big number of your posts about this.

but there is a thread right now where a guy had some partis born and i know it was rare because they were born from 2 stardard colored yorkies but everyone was like that is so rare and special and were saying things like "arent they more expensive too" trying to tell them man what just happened because he didnt know anything about partis! But then they (not the same person) complain when chocolates are sold for more $$.

i have nothing against any of the yorkies i love them all and want one of each lol or many of each. But i dont understand some of the threads like the one i just talked about above.

like i said i love them all and could care less who breeds what. but i would like to be educated about this.

If its the same thing then why is it okay to sell partis for more but not chocolates?

or is it not? or is it mostly about pedigrees?

why is it there can only be one standard when so many have adopted variational standards for other breeds ? what if i took a yorkie and mixed it with another dog and called it something different instead of yorkie would that make you happy how about i call them shannette terriers think that will make them all happy my line my dogs hahahhaha then the little yorkie breeders wont feel threatened

WHOA WAIT A MINUTE! maybe you should reread all my post or try just reading the first one before you make comments. I have been on yorkietalk a while now and everyone here should know i love all yorkies i dont care what color they are and in my opinion i dont care if they are shown or not. Also im not a breeder so i think deserve for you not to post on my thread again or for you to apologize. Dont come on here starting stuff with everyone who asks a question. If you would have read my question you probably would have been a huge help in answering them but i guess now since you seem to be a pissy person you wont be any help to me. Thanks anyways

also if you seen in a way i was sticking up for chocolates because i was confused about the price differences. But i guess if you would have read everything you would have know this!

For me its not about money not about champion points its about telling people these dogs have a right to be loved and judged just as any of the other dogs out there that man has created. givem a break they arent gonna take over we just want recognition that we are here because we are a breed of yorkie

To answer your question about costs. People can only charge what people are willing to pay. Sad to say, but if someone wants to pay a high price for an unregistered Yorkiepoo there will be someone out there willing to sell it to them.
In MY OPINION, the Biewers are a bit different because we can trace them all back to the original yorkie parents. There is a standard that we should be following if we are going to show and/or breed them. Of course there are people out there that do not want to show to validate the correctness of their Biewers, but insist on selling all of their puppies as show/breeders for high prices. Most responsible Biewer breeders register their litters in Germany, microchip their puppies, have shown their adults, DNA parents and puppies, do health screenings. I am sure you recognize this list as what the responsible yorkie breeders do also. Can the breeders of the unshowable partis and the chocolates say the same thing (Again, I know not all Biewer breeders can say this either, so don't hate me for saying what I FEEL should be done.)

agreed! well sort of i think if they have more champions or are a show dog then i think they could be priced more right?

Im sorry that didnt come out like i thought i was trying to agree with you about they should be considered the same. but people want them seperated for some reason. didnt mean to sound pissy hope you understand im gettin off here this is why i dont get on here people can be hatefull and down right mean and then i get upset and it comes out wrong. I dont think they should be if they are sold with limited registration. If they are sold with open reg. then I guess thats between purchaser and seller ?
