| Too Big to be Yorkie The standard weight for a yorkie per AKC is not to exceed 7lbs. That would be to go in the show ring. (Confirmation) I just Rec'ed. new standards in /AKC in this months Gazette. Effective In Oct. 2007 |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | The standards for A Yorkie I have one Yorkie that meets all the standards and she is a spoiled little girl. It is like she knows she is perfect. People always fall all over her. Even our big boy Teddy defers to Chelsey. I would say she is second in command next to me.

Donating Yorkie Yakker | Skippy's big too Skippy is over 19 lbs, and not overweight for his frame (I'm told by the vet) We were duped by the seller, we didn't know to investigate the sellers. He was also very sick when we bought him, but you couldn't tell. It was only after the diarrhea when we got home that we knew. Of course we fell in love with him when we saw him, so he's our sweetheart. I'm hunting for a little girl now... I know what to look for in a seller now too. We told Skippy's owner we wanted a 7 or 8 pound dog, not one too small. She said, he would be on the bigger side! As long as the dogs are healthy, we love them!! |

| Looks like yorkie to me!! No matter how small or large our yorkie is, we love them either way!!! I had 2 other yorkies in the past and last one was little big. (but only 8 or 9lb) and I thought she was small. Now I own 2.3lb girl so I am a tiny girl's mom. I won't care if she grow up to be 20lb or 2.5lb. I just won't be able to carry her in my purse if she gets bigger!!! |

| Your furbaby is gorgeous! And so are all the furbabies here regardless of size. It is the size of these yorkie's hearts that makes them as special as they are to me!

| Your baby is a doll! He looks like a snuggler to me. Lucy weighs 11 lbs at 1.5 years. Rebel weighs 5 at 1 yr. Lucy is sturdy and loves to wrestle, but I find myself being much more careful with Rebel. Next to his "sis", he looks like a midget
