| ![]() I"m so happy you're keeping your little guy!! McKenzie was about the same weight at 11 weeks and our vet thinks she'll top out at 4 lbs.. so he may still stay very small ![]() |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() C'mon guys ... READ BEFORE REACTING please!!! In even a handful of the most recent threads, it is clear that punkie is KEEPING this baby. YT clearly did its job yesterday in offering up VALUABLE INFORMATION instead of vicious attacks. I realize emotions run high and hot. I'm guilty myself. But if everyone would just STEP BACK for a few seconds before hitting the keyboard, there would be a lot less upset on this board. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() I'm glad you decided yo keep him! I'm one of the firsts persons to reply to this thread, before it turned a little ugly, so when I saw like 20 pages I was like, what happened to this thread! ok, i'm gonna check it out and then... yeah, she's keeping him!!!!! It's funny how people are still attacking Punkie because of the first post, and you don't have to read the whole 20 pages to see what's going on, I didn't. But if you see a 20 pages thread you can reply after just looking at the first one, you need to browse a little... |

| ![]() I understand where your all coming from but let's get real here. There are soooooo very many pups missing, dying and so very sick how can someone continue complaining about giving up a pup because it "might" reach 6 or 7lbs? Unless this person is 12yrs old there is no excuse for posting this nonsence. I am very happy she has decieded to keep that beautiful pup and wish her good luck but I believe it is all about a novelty or assessory not about loving a living creature. Don't bash me for saying what I feel but of course this is an open forum and you can if you feel the need too. But this is how I interpeded this thread from the beginning. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Have you ever thought you knew what you were doing -- but then find out you didn't? I have! I think -- or at least hope -- that's been the case with punkie. I admit, my initial reaction was that wanting to get rid of a pup because it may not be the perfect size sounds harsh, shallow and downright wrong. That's my opinion -- and that's all it is. Also my opinion: This feeling was initially generated by someone feeling duped and resenting the hell out of it. Consider -- she bought from a less than reputable breeder to begin with. Disappointing, but we all know it happens. Luckily, from vet reports, she got a healthy one! I think her biggest gripe is that she was duped into believing that a breeder can tell you -- with certainty -- how big a dog will get. I think she now understands this is almost never the case. Clearly, she had a mind's eye vision of what she wanted. She also misunderstood -- and admitted in several subsequent posts -- that her assessment of 6 or 7 pounds for a dog was probably off. Again, just my opinion, but since she has decided to keep the dog, we can probably be a lot more help to both her and the pup with encouragement. ![]() |
