![]() I had read about collapsed trachea so when we got the pup, I got him a couple of harnesses instead of a collar. I read about low blood sugar too, so I make sure that he eats often. But I have no idea what luxating patella is. It's comforting to know that the people here are so knowledgeable. There are some things I'm wondering about. When we got him, we were told not to exercise him too much because it's not good for his bone development. Is this true? So we don't really let him walk around much. We take him outside but only let him walk a few feet and then carry him. He get all of his exercise running around the house and playing with his toys and my boyfriend. We took him to the park once and the kids kind of scared him. They were trying to play with him, but he didn't like them moving so quickly towards him and making a lot of noise. So we try to stay away from kids now, although I worry that this will cause him to be not socialized enough with children. Also I was wondering abut when to have him neutered. I've heard from some people to not wait past 5 months but other have said after 6 months.

| ![]() Speaking of making him eat often, he seems to like his new food we switched him to. We're giving him Innova now instead of Eukanuba because we read it was really low quality. What does everyone here feed? Would anyone recommend Innova? |

Does anyone's dogs twitch a lot when they sleep? I have never seen it to the degree of this little guy before. He twitches all the time when he sleeps and chews in his sleep and smacks his lips constantly. It's really bizarre.

| ![]() I feed Canidae kibble and either Canidae canned or Merrick. I haven't read all the post but I hope you decide to keep the pup. I have never heard a breeder guarantee the size/weight of a puppy since there are so many variables involved. Sometimes even seeing the parents isn't a promise your dog will be in their weight range. My daughter bought a pup and we saw it's parents but he has grown to a healty 9 lbs at 9 months, he was 2lb 9 oz at 8 weeks so she knew there was a possibility of him being out of the weight standard. I asked the breeder about his weight and she told me it had to come from back in his bloodline. |
