4 Attachment(s) here are some pics of my little puddin... pic 1. 11 weeks...her first night with us 2.6 lbs pic 2. 6 months....4.5 lbs pic 3. last week...10 months...5.5 lbs???? pic 4. 9 months old and soaking wet....5 lbs without the water lol really...she is quite tiny. her hair is most of her "size" lol she has very fluffy face hair LOL |
I also wanted to add...I am not a believer in God BUT I am a HUGE beleiver in everything happens for a reason...I think this puppy came to you for a reason:)..he will repay you in ways you dont even know yet for saving him from that place!! |
If I had suspected this to be a puppy mill, I would have refused to buy the dog, and then I would have reported him. A 6-7 pound dog is still a VERY small dog. There is no way to guarantee the size of a dog, but the chart here is pretty accurate. I have a small male, 4.4 lbs. and believe me, I wouldn't mind one bit if he was bigger. He's very healthy and very sturdy, but it's so hard when they're so tiny. Your little guy is a real cutie! Enjoy him, no matter what size he gets to be! |

That IS funny!! You know Punkie I try to not ge involved in threads that pull at me emotionally bc it makes me sad and works me up emotionally. For some reason I got involved in this one. I think that is a sign! I think you need to have faith that your choice and your little guy is going to be exactly what you want in a dog! So give him his name! I truely feel that this little guy is going to be the best dog you could ever wish to have! And he is sooo beautiful. Like my Stuart (the one that died)! Here is a pic of my Dex. First pic hes on the right! The other one is my fletcher, they are brothers, same liter! |

From talking to everyone on here, I'm starting to realize that even if I had gotten a really teeny puppy, there's no way to know how big he would be. I'm thinking now that I'd probably like to keep him. I kind of feel like I don't really trust anyone to give him a better home and I don't want him to end up in a bad situation. At least I can be sure I would not let anything bad happen to him. I'm still really bitter about my experience with the breeder and will report him for sure. He is a smart puppy and he's really gotten used to us. He's far from the shy puppy he was when we first got him. He's really confident and outgoing now and I can tell that he feels safe around us. He was also crying all the time when he first came here. We got no sleep for the first 5-6 nights. He freaked out every time we left him alone or put him in his crate or his play pen and we basically didn't have a quiet moment. Now he never cries or whines and he's fine when we put him in his play area with his puppy gate. I really don't want to go through that noise and ruckus again with a new puppy, LOL. Plus I worry about him having to get used to a new home and new people and being sad that we're not around since he knows us now. He's doing really great with pee pad training too. I just wish he would stop pulling and chewing on my hair, LOL. |

Your little ones are so beautiful :) I was made to do a lot of thinking today by reading all of the posts on this thread today and some people (like yourself) were so sweet and encouraging. The more I think about it, the more I want to make sure that he is going to be OK, so I'm going to keep him I think. If he gets to be 20 lbs and I can't carry him anymore, I guess I'll just have to get a stroller and push his big butt around town, LOL. |

I hate the breeder my puppy came from and I'm so mad at him for doing what he does to people, but I guess something good will come out of it after all :) |

Punkie, that is wonderful! I couldn't be happier for you and for ??? (his name now please??? hehe) I honestly feel that this is going to be GREAT for you and for him! With that little face..... oh man I just love all these dogs, but I have a TEENNYYY bit weak spot for the little boys! Now ... If this is for your first YORKIE, you have a LOT of learning ahead of you! You may have been able to handle a 170lb Dane (beautiful by the way!!) but he had NOTHING on a YORKIE! HAHAHA PS - ebay has good deals on strollers!! Just a little fyi! :) :D :D |

Now my boyfriend and I will have to decide on a name for him :) Maybe it's better if he is bigger since my boyfriend wants to get a big dog as well. His heart is kind of set on a St. Bernard. Although we would still have to be very careful, I would worry a lot about a really teeny Yorkie with a big puppy running around. |
I have been reading this post and am so happy for you that you have finally decided to keep the little one. I feel that it isn't the size that really matters . . . what matters most is the bond that is created between the 2 of you . . . it looks like you both will totally be happy with each other. :) |
