Size shouldn't matter I just breed my fourth litter and am having a Birthday party for a litter of four that will be 1 on August 23rd. Mom was over 8 lbs and dad was over 13 lbs. Of the 4 puppies that will be a year old one is under 6 lbs, one just over 6 lbs, one is around 7 lbs and one is 14 lbs! The runt is the over 14 lb one. It is impossible to make sure they are small as they can go back a gereration or two to get their size. I have a litter three years ago that the runt is around 7 lbs while mom was 4.2 lbs and dad was 4.6 lbs - go figure. Four puppies and the biggest is arount 5 lbs. none smaller than mom and dad. Just a healthy bunch. I have 5 yorkies ranging from just over 4 lbs to 14 lbs and love then all equally. The bigest one is great for long walks and rough play. The littlest is prissy and loves to dress up. Everyone has their preference but to love any Yorkie is an honor! I wouldn't trade or sell any of mine for 1 million dollars :D |
my little GiGi is 3lb 2 oz at 11 months. I wish she would double her weight!!!! She isnt fragile so to say but LORD is she tiny to me... (SHHH.. dont tell her) I dont care what size she was to me. I was going to buy a male but I saw her sweet little face and that was it! I wish you the best in whatever you do but please NAME the little angel. |

He is so cute :) I guess he had floppy ears too at that age too. My puppy's ears actually were erect when I woke up this morning and they've been that way all day. They were floppy yesterday. Kinda caught me by surprise. |

By definition this breeder is a puppy miller. Further, you said something that really bothered me more: "I asked to see the mom and dad and he said that they were both away being bred at the time and showed me a couple of pictures on printer paper. " I can understand the stud being bred again, but the bitch?? The pup that you purchased was 10 weeks old, which meant that A: The bitch had to have gone back into season within 10 weeks of having produced a litter AND B: That he was willing to breed her back to back. Now, I've known some breeders to do a breeding back to back, but in rare circumstances. Poor girl. I'm glad you are in love w/ your puppy, and I'm sorry he took you for a run for your money. I don't know what you can do that you'd be okay w/. |
4 Attachment(s) By the way, my Ava that I imported from Hungary is still between 2.5 lbs and 3 (on a full belly). And she was born February 8th of '06. I have your problem in reverse. lol, I was so hoping for a 5-6 lbs Yorkie and yet I wound up w/ this little girl. That's fine. I know that there simply is NO WAY to guarantee size. Unfortunantely. The first 3 are Ava and the 4th is Nemo (who is 5.6 lbs) |

Here are some pictures I just took. The first two are him sleeping by his puppy gate. The third one is him on top of the couch. He loves to climb up high. The last one is him on the bed. |
[QUOTE=Ozzie'sperson;1278053 You have a right to feel however you want. But I can tell you that you may be robbing yourself of a really great experience. I know I sure would have been had I let Ozzie's Forrest Gump IQ sway me. The thing is, much like Forrest, Ozzie is so innocent and sweet and loving and loyal. It's 10 years later, and I wouldn't have him any other way. :)[/QUOTE] Oh that made me laugh out loud!!! Too FUNNY!!! |

Here he is trying to destroy my boyfriend's sock and jumping around on the bed (supervised of course). He's been really energetic and rambunctious today. |

I'm sure they will bring you enormous amounts of joy. Our Dane was the most gentle, loving and sweet animal ever. They are beautiful creatures. |

you know, i really think you will realize that he will be a good size. i thought i wanted a teeny tiny baby too...but i fell in love with maggie from the first second i laid eyes on her. i didn't care if she got 20 lbs!!! and like i said before, you will not realize that he is gaining weight. you will carry him from day one...and at day 365, when he is bigger than he is now, you will not notice a difference. really. i know i don't. maggie was 2.6 lbs at 11 weeks. she is now 10 months and about 5.5 lbs ( i can't get an accurate weight because she has the cast on...with the cast it is 5.9 lbs). i really don't think she is heavy at all. and like i said before, she is with me ALL THE TIME. people that see me, know to expect to see her too :) you don't see one without the other, unless it is at a restaurant :) |
His pictures are sooooooooooooooooooo sweet!! Look at his little face!! I tell ya if I could get more dogs and I cant lol...I would driving up to Toronto tonight!!! He is so adorable...I love him...I hope he stays with you...after you post pictures your a part of the YT family hehehehe... Dawn |
