| The breeder where we got Coby has a little 1 pounder. He has to live in a porta-crib in the living room until someone can devote complete attention to him to keep him from getting hurt. She would never sell him because she's afraid no one would take as good of care of him as she does. He has an extra set of teeth, but he's too little for surgery. He was sure cute, but he doesn't have quite the fun Yorkie-life that the more normal weight ones do, so it's kind of sad........

| My Eury is just under 2 lbs at 5 months and the vet today told me to not expect her to get bigger than 3 lbs. Fortunately, except for some recent skin and ear irritation that required her to be shaved, she is very healthy. She also has a open fontanel (sp?) but it seems to be slowly getting smaller. She definitely doesn't realize she's small. LOL We have 3 cats, two who are 10lbs and one who is 16lbs, and she LOVES LOVES LOVES to chase them around the house. Here is a picture of her before she was shaved. PS... if you wanna see what she looks like shaved check out the thread here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87965

| Those of you with the very tiny dogs, how much did your puppies weigh when you got them and how old were they? Do you know how old the parents were? |

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My Marcel is 8 mths old and 2.5 lbs. - he was 1 lb. 4 oz. when I got him at 4 mths old. I really tried to maximize his gain potential by feeding home cooked meals 4x day at first, then 3x day, now 2x day (but they always have kibble available). I'm not sure he would've made it to 2.5 if I'd just kept him on grazing kibble. Other than some digestive issues, he's a pistol who is healthy (but not as big) as a horse! This is him at 7 mths old:

| Therapy Dog Donating Member | Izzy just turned 7 mos on Sunday and she is now 2 pounds 5 ounces - she is tiny but boy not as tiny as some on YT. She eats only 2x day - and also gets plenty of exercise chasing our 3 cats around.
