My Marcel is 8 mths old and 2.5 lbs. - he was 1 lb. 4 oz. when I got him at 4 mths old. I really tried to maximize his gain potential by feeding home cooked meals 4x day at first, then 3x day, now 2x day (but they always have kibble available). I'm not sure he would've made it to 2.5 if I'd just kept him on grazing kibble.
Other than some digestive issues, he's a pistol who is healthy (but not as big) as a horse! This is him at 7 mths old:
