| I'm not familiar with snakes native to Kentucky, but it looks like it could be a plain old Gopher Snake, or a Brown Snake, which are both harmless and generally peaceful. It also resembles a Night Snake, which you would not want it to be, because they do have fangs, and are mild-moderately poisonous. Thats the only reason I can think of that she would be throwing up... Are you sure that she's throwing up because of the snake incident? Maybe it could be something else?

.....if there is something out there that she could get into she will.It was definetly not a poisonous snake because the only poisonous snakes around here are pit vipers. The pupils on pit vipers are slits and they have pits on their faces between the eyes and nose, and their heads are diamond shaped and they have fangs. The snake I found had round pupils, and skinny head and no pits and it had teeth and not fangs. That is the reason I caught it to make sure it was not poisonous, for one I wanted to make sure so I would know if Hannah was in danger if she was bitten, and then I wanted to know if there were poisonous baby snakes in my back yard (which I have never seen a poisonous snake here in the 25 years I lived in this neighborhood). I have never heard of a night snake, I don't think that we have those here, thank God, because we already have enough to worry about with copper heads, rattlesnakes, and cottonmouths...... | |

| My hubby is on a Tarantula forum, and he has told me if you are worried to google up the pic of the snake to get a match. He also says he has loads of Spider mates who have snakes, and if needed they can identify your snake for you if you are not sure, and the dog continues to be unwell. This applies to anyone else who has a problem with a snake which needs identifying. Just pm me if needed, or contact The British Tarantula Society forum by putting the name on google - Kenny is my hubby and is a moderator, and he will help you, as he has loads of mates in this field from all over the world, and the US. I hope your Yorkie is alright, and gets better soon without any cause for concern. GOOD LUCK ! |

| No problem - happy to help anytime ! Hubby Kenny says they have loads of contacts, so any emergency room info needed is fine anytime - just ask the moderators on the forum - most of them have snakes too, and they also know of the top people in the snake world. |

| Oooops genie, my hubby is a moderator on the other Tarantula forum which is called: "The Tarantula Store".....sorry about the mistake.....you can ask about snakes and spiders on there, and he and his mates and scientist experts will help you anytime...and can post pics to get someone to identify. The other name I gave you is a forum as well, but it doesn't cover the US, whereas The Tarantula Store is world-wide |
