michiko, I have followed this post from the beggining and so far have not commented, however I just wanted to say this. I am a fairly new YT member and have gained so much knowledge from just the last few months. YT for me,( and im sure most other members) has become a place I know I can come and get honest opinions, and answers to questions. I appreciate so much that you came forward In a very diplomatic way to explain your situation. I really commend the fact that even though there have been some immature posts and some ridicule directed at you, you have continued to remain mature and even slightly witty. I also think you have been so patient and maybe even a little too patient with sylvan. I personally would have already had this issue in court. My family has owned a business all my life and growing up with that I am very business minded. Like so many others have said this was a business transaction and should be handled like one. If someone purchases furniture from my fathers business and we go to deliver, all the furniture isnt there, or something is damaged, we fix it right away. Wether we need to give a rufund, repair the damages, whatever needs to be done. We need to fix it. Otherwise we would be sued! When there is a contract the business MUST hold to their end of the bargain. They are legally bound to follow the rules of the contract. If I were you this lady would be in court and I would be suing her for the total cost of the puppy plus damages, I would claim that I was intending on breeding my baby but opted not to because I really wanted the akc papers and the deal stated that I had to spay my girl if I wanted the papers. Now your girl is spayed and can never have puppies and you never got your papers! This is irriversable and you will be forever damaged because your poor little haruka will never be able to experiance motherhood like you always dreamnt. I know this may sound a little overboard but this is probably what my familys attourny would suggest. I know you probably wont go that route, but sylvan is lucky she is dealing with someone as kind and patient as you. |
Just wanted to say I hope this all gets worked out for everyone involved. It shldnt take months for an understanding to be reached between everyone, I cant even understand if there is/was a problem going on in someones life why a explanation could not be offered. With the same quickness a breeder responds to potential new families the same should follow after placing them in their new homes. I would not and have never bought without papers in hand. I can respect a spay/nueter agreement or papers after proof of surgery but at the very least a copy of the pups registration shld be given to the buyer along with the puppy. One of the first things done after having a litter is registering them. Yes you shld get your papers or a partial refund for being sold a puppy with no papers. Good luck! |
Wow..being relatively new to YT I really never believed that a thread could get so ugly as this one has between grown adults who all love their fur babies, grown adults who have been on this site way longer than me who have had past experiences with ugly threads and know HOW to prevent them to stay on the thread topic..but somehow allow their own personal feelings to get in the way of the real reason Michiko posted, which was to get advice as well as make other new yt owners such as myself who may want to buy another yorkie aware of her experience with a breeder who is well known and not a fly by night breeder. Which in all honesty is what we all want..to buy our fur babies from a reputable breeder. We have no problem discussing the puppy mill breeders and we should not have to defend ourselves in discussing any breeder we have had an issue with especially when this site is a learning and informative site. ( I have learned alot in the past couple of months). We all have choices and a reputable breeder already knows the possible outcomes of their actions when they do ignore one of their customers as does any reputable business owner. Michiko thank you personally from me for giving me insight into what can possibly occur when buying a fur baby from a breeder. You have been clear and concise as to why you were posting and basically looking for some other ideas as to handle this from seasoned breeders and members on this site..I so know intent from you whatsoever to tarnish anyones reputation...you had a situation, handled it for a long period of time with no results, posted here for help in how to handle and that is what the thread should be..all this other stuff is not relative at all.....and that is my opinion...and i say this with a smile:D I don't entertain bashing so if anyone has a negative comment on my post..don't put it here email me privately so we can get back on track with this thread and give some constructive help to Michiko...after all That is why this thread was started.. |
I'm sorry to see this thread. I know that there are two sides to every story. I hope that all of this can be resolved. Best of luck to you, Michiko and to Stacy. |
I'm sorry, this is pathetic. You guys are grown adults, there's no reason to call each other names or whatever. Lets get back to the topic, hmm? Good luck, Michiko. I really hope nothing is wrong with Stacy. Hopefully things will be sorted out for all of you and others who are having problems. |
Hello Michiko: I would like to thank you for your honesty, I have a similar story, but knock on wood no sick puppy as of yet. I am going through the CKC, and I am sure that I will be vindicated with truth and principle on my side. Without breeders, there could be no owners, yet without owners, breeders would not be able to sell their Yorki pups. It is not a matter of there is two sides to a story, but such a situation should never have happened. From an owners stand point, it is hard to recognize a sincere breeder from a backyard breeder. Again, thank you for your courage, and for sharing. Tulip - My words, my thoughts! |
I really appreciate everyone's honest feedback and opinions!!! I know there are always two sides of stories.. but obviously .. Stacy is not sharing her side of story yet.. Anyway.. I am okay... because I was prepared for this.. and I know that I am following my morality.. Thanks everyone! |
