| What horrible, ugly things could be inside someone that would prompt them to do this. I just can't comprehend how something like that would even come into their minds to do. There is something very wrong in their hearts and heads. I'll be writing a letter.

| Here is the letter I wrote to the judge who will be presiding over this case. Feel free to just copy and paste. Just make sure the spacing is correct. When I pasted my letter here it took out all of the spacing- I think I put it back in right but it's hard to tell in this format. The more letters he get the better. Your Name Address Address June 23, 2007 The Honorable Monte Watkins Criminal Court, Division 5 Justice A. A. Birch Building 208 2nd Ave. North Nashville, TN 37201 Dear Judge Watkins: I am an animal lover writing in regards to case #2004-C-2418, concerning Michael Lee Davis and Chad Daniel Crawford. Mr. Davis was arrested on Oct. 7, 2004, and charged with intentionally killing an animal and aggravated cruelty to animals. Mr. Crawford was charged earlier with cruelty to animals and vandalism. These men viciously kicked a two pound Yorkshire Terrier to death. These men are scheduled to appear before you on October 22, 2007. I am writing to urge you to sentence these men to the maximum penalty allowable by law including jail time, psychological counseling and a prohibition from having future contact with any animals. There is an accepted link between violence to animals and violence to humans. The unspeakably cruel behavior these men exhibited clearly demonstrates that they are a danger to society. Citizens from all over our country have followed this case for over three years. It is time for a meaningful resolution. I implore you to make a statement to our country that violent behavior towards animals will not be tolerated. Sincerely,

I really can not stand to read about these cowards any longer.....some one has got to bring them to awareness. I would really like to drop kick this pig . Tina |

| This might sound silly but I am so glad that they put the names of the accused in the paper. You don't know who will go after them now that it is known who is responsible for this twisted act. Maybe they will get kicked down the street. Tina |

| This is so aweful! I can not believe it's taken this long for this to go to court. I feel so bad for the little dog - and 17 years old! Poor thing... I just can't imagine the owner having to witness that happening to his dog. I would have beat the hell out of that guy once he fell down (said he fell down in the article because he was drunk). I would have kicked him over and over! I wish that dogs weren't viewed as just property. If someone kills your dog, it's treated as property - they owe you what you paid for the dog. Dogs are like children to a lot of people and losing one (especially like this) is extremely traumatizing to a person. Obviously that officer on scene was thinking of Gizmo as "just a dog" when he should have been looking at him as a living being and someone's baby. These things just make me so scared for my dogs...can't even imagine bringing an actual child into a world with such aweful people running around..

| I just read the article, and I couldn't believe those "monsters" could do something that cruel. My heart goes out to the owner, and that poor doggie... I sure hope they get some jail time and definitely psychiatric help because no normal human being could stomach to do something that horrendous. If they enjoyed doing that to an animal, who knows what they are capable of doing down the road. |
