I THINK it's Sacramento, but not sure. Was trying to figure out which stations serve that market.

They have sister stations so a call to my people here might result in a call to them. I also posted earlier that I am a lawyer and work with law enforcement in my area. I am willing to write a letter to Wal-mart and use my contacts to help light a fire under the police, walmart or to get the media going.

Proud mommy - if you want my help let me know. I will be going to Sacramento on business tomorrow and will be gone all day and late into the night, so if you don't let me know today, I probably won't be able to make contact with you until Saturday.

GREAT! Anything that can be done at this point is a step in the right direction. And if you make that call to someone in the media, you might mention that Maureen is not the only one to have a Yorkie disappear recently.

Yes, they are a total of 4 missing Yorkies in the Modesto area. If the Media would focus on all of them it might be a 'bigger' clip

P.S. I just posted another thread asking anyone to make a MySpace page for Zeke. If we can get one made and then somehow spread it around and get friends in the Modesto/Tracy area, maybe someone has some more info. Everyone (well...except me) has a MySpace page, so maybe, just maybe...

Exactly! What it would do is get someone more interested in writing the story to begin with. And that is what we need.

please let me know if proudmommy gets back to you. i was thinking after my post that i dont know how useful a letter from me would be since i am all the way in pa. but if you have any ideas or ways to help you galatea let me know. it sounds like you have a lot of contacts out there which is a great thing in this profession...

We have a village newspaper that covers the four surrounding villages.
You can just walk in with any written article to be put in. Is there such a paper in that area?

Galatea, I posted this message a few pages back. I know you are busy, so I am reposting here because I had directed my question at you:

However, I would not wait the amount of days a Legal Letter would take to get a response. I think time now, is of the essence, because too many days have already passed since Zeke was taken. Galatea - would you be willing to call this Manager. I feel he would find a real "voice", albeit one over the phone, more intimidating, so as to elicit an immediate response from him. If he hears there is a Legal representative of the lady he refused to help yesterday, he might be prompted to do the right thing."

I just think that a direct phone call could expedite matters more quickly.

My plan would be to call the Walmart store, ask for the FAX number for the manager, then ask to speak to the manager. Identify myself, the issue and the request, and then FAX a letter documenting the conversation with a FAX copy to Walmart Corporation. If they say they will do something I will document that. If they say they won't I will document that and let them know that their supervisors will know, the media will know, and the police will be further advised.

I need to talk to proud mommy first on the phone to get some additional info.
