![]() Bless you for stopping and taking that poor pup home. He must have been terrified not to mention how much pain he had to be in with his feet such a horrible mess! It is amazing he was not hit by a car. I believe you were put there at that time to save this little one with such sadness in his eyes. I am sure he must feel soooooooooo good being bathed and cut, you did an awsome job with that I would like to add. ![]() Your a wonderful person and whatever decision you do make about him I am sure will be the right one. I don't however believe he should be returned to his former owners. It does not appear he was taken care of at all except to be feed. Lucky he found you and your family. Good luck in you search for a wonderful home for him.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Aw, bless you for doing this! I was too upset to post after reading this last night. ![]() I hope you are able to find a good resolution for both of you. My mom always says -- and I have rolled my eyes more than once when hearing it -- that things happen for a reason. But d@mn, she's usually right. ![]() Sounds to me like you were this baby's savior. |

![]() You did a great thing!! The poor little thing! His eyes look like they are searching for something. I wish I were closer since I just lost my Yorkie I definitely would have room but I can't afford to get him from there to here. On another note, please try not to pre-judge his real owners as here is something that happened to me. My Golden Retriever was stolen from my yard. He had epilepse and some other problems. He was an awesome obedience champion in my home area. 1 year after he was stolen from my yard someone found him in a different state. He was a mess. I had an idea of who had taken him and had put up posters and flyers all over the guy's daughter's home town in North Dakota. The person who picked up the dog brought the dog to the local shelter. The person at the shelter remembered my flyer. (I had given them a flyer and they had kept it!!) It just goes to prove that there can be extenuating circumstances. We just don't know! Good luck on finding a placement for the little guy! He sure is cute! And don't worry; his hair will grow back just fine! Angela

![]() Yeah his clip job leaves alot to be desired but, I was in a hurry to finish as I knew he was scared. The mats below his eyes were very very painful for him and I just wanted to get him down where he was comfy. There are little sprigs of hair here and htere LOL... I had to leave his ears to give him a little dignity. He looked like a little bat running with his fully furnished ears and I even clipped off about 2 inches from his ears. My son said that he thought we were there at that exact time for a reason... NO one else even slowed down but there was a lot of swerving and honking.I put an ad on the local radio, If anyone calls I will be extensively questioning them. He seems much more at home but acts very independant. He acts as though he never had anyone to snuggle. I found him sleeping in my sons room this morning. He must have gotten him before bed. He seems to like him and is not scared of babies either. He does not seem aggressive at all.We did some pretty painful stuff to his feet and he had to be held tightly and he let us do that. I am still smelling the smell that came from the mats under his eyes, I am not sure if he is going blibnd from age or because his hair was matted all around and in his eyes. Maybe they will clear but I doubt it. HIs before Picture looks cute but what you cant see is the mats taht go clear to the skin. I hated to shave him but it really was the easiest thing for him.

![]() Yeah he is pretty well fed. He is fatter than my kids and they eat like horses. He is not overweight just fed..... I am really trying to be understanding as well. If he was stolen the people did not care for him at all..... If he wasnt he was just a discarded animal. He really is a sweet guy but not snuggly at all. Maybe when he gets used to us. He is still looking for something but he acts like a stray dog. JUst not really interested in what is going on around him at all. I ahvenet been able to get him to eat anything either, He has plenty of energy, Bon

![]() Okay here are some I jsut took. It is cold here today and he was shivering so I dug out a shirt that was my Boys and put it on him. He was nervous. I found him in the living room on the chair. He gets scared and freezes when you get to messing around his neck.Had to have my daughter hold his head while I dressed him. He is still looking around though.

![]() He must be so very confused! Maybe he's never been on a home before, hence the looking around. He really is a honey. It breaks my heart to think how he must have been hurting between the feet and his eyes nearly sealed closed because of the matting. I understand the hair really pulls the skin when it's matted so. Really makes you want to cry to think of what this little one must have been through. He looks so sweet in his read sweater. ![]() P.S. How about calling hime "MATTY"

![]() I wanted to say also, everyone is prejudging this little guys owners when no one knows the story at all. This could very well be a loved family pet that got lost, was stolen, who knows. I like to try and give people the benefit of the doubt and find out the real story before making it up without facts. Yes, the fact is this dog was not taken care of and that is sad and if indeed it was the owners then shame on them and they don't deserve him, on the other hand, perhaps he has been lost for awhile. I guess its just better to try and find out first because if it were your dog that was lost and no one tried to at least find you, I'm sure you nor anyone would like that. Just my opinion. In either case, bless you for taking him in and getting him cleaned up. He is adorable for sure and deserves to either go back to a family that loved him, or a new family that will love him. Good luck. Kathy

![]() I am giving the benefit of the doubt and HOPE he has a family that has been searching for him. He really misses someone. I have already placed an ad on the radio and the local TV station. I hope someone claims him and misses him and loves him.
