| People that don't have their dogs properly tied up, on leashes, or whatever, REALLY make me mad. I hate having to scoop up Tobey on walks because some dog is running towards us out of their front yard. usually the owner is there calling their name but the dog is too excited to listen. Even if the dog isn't aggressive, you never know and have to be extra careful. Yorkies are so fragile, you are so lucky they are okay!!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I almost didn't read this thread bc I was scared of what might've happened. I am SO glad they're okay. And, I can't believe they are okay. Utterly, utterly terrifying for them and you. I don't even want to think about what that dog could've done to all 3 of you. Hope you are all on the mend.

| I'm so sorry to hear this. Same thing happened to us in December.....out walking both and Phoebi was attacked by a neighbor's pitbull. Unfortunately, she wasn't so lucky......it resulted in a $3000 surgery for her and months of recovery. I've never forgiven myself for being able to grab Chan in time but not Phoebi. To this day, if I walk them....I walk them each seperately. In my mind I figure I can at least grab them in time. I know how you're feeling and please don't think about it too much. Be thankful you weren't bit also....I was. I know how scary it must have been for you....try not to think about it too much.

| I am so very sorry that you had this horrible event as part of your morning. At least your little ones weren't injured to badly. I hope that you are able to bring charges against and WIN against the pitbull owners. It is so very sad..... the pitbull is not the guilty party here. It's a crying shame that they don't put the OWNERS to sleep and rehibilitate the dogs...... |

| OMG.. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad your babies they're okay. I'm trying to avoid that from happening to my babies. We have a backyard neighbor who recently got a puppy pitbull. Hes already doing some damaged to our fences and dig up few hole. omgosh! hes only a puppy, imagine when he become adult. I'm just hoping they dont keep him chained outside forever. I dont understand why would anyone get a dog and chain them up all day. I see no point in having one. But can you believe the nerves of that dog owner accuse my dogs for digging them holes? My bf over heard here telling our other neighbor that. OMG and I should be the one complaining! I even see it when my own 2 eyes, his face and paws were under my fences. And if you look at the digging, you can tell its coming from their side. I guess shes either dumb or being in denial I dont even feel safe letting my dogs play in my own backyard anymore. Because of these irresponsible big dogs owner. |

| OMG! Thats awful! Im soooo sorry you had to go through that!!! I hope that owner DOES pay the bills. Maybe you should call somewhere to report that dog because the next time it could be worse, or it could be a child. YIKES! I am soooo glad your dogs are ok though! Thank goodness!

| I'm so glad you are all OK. I cannot walk my boys in my neighborhood because of irresponsible dog owners who do not leash their dogs. There are 2 in particular who would charge at us everytime we walked, even came across the street onto the sidewalk we were on. So we just stay in the back yard. It's so sad because my boys loved to walk. I just can't take those chances. We also have an unaltered male lab in the neighborhood who breaks loose from his house and jumps fences and gets in to our fully fenced back yards. It's scary

| OMG! I'm glad that your babies will be okay. My Starr was attacked by a pit too, while my then 9 year old dd was walking her on her leash The dog just came barrelling out of their garage, lucky that the owner was right there to get the dog off of my dd. Starr just ran and hid under our bed, as I'd left the door open to watch the girls while they walked Starr. She did survive, and I did report it to Animal Control. My DH fought me on that, as he didn't want to alienate the neighbor (owner) but I did it anyway. Now they make sure the dog is contained, it was an expensive lesson for them as they paid the bill. I went and had him write me a check as soon as I returned from the vet, so he couldnt' wiggle out of it later. I hope your babies aren't too traumatized and that they heal quickly My poor baby shook like a leaf whenever we'd walk her, and my dd was afraid to leave our yard since the dog tried to bite her too.

| A lot of Insurance companies no longer will offer you coverage if you own certain dogs----pitbulls are inc in this-------because you can go through their homeowners insurance to cover your vet bills etc..... Personally I could never have such a risky breed due to the fact I wouldn't be able to live with the knowledge that my dog did harm to someone elses pet or child. I know the breed is not to blame but the breeders who breed for the bad qualities instead of the good and that any animal can be a problem..........that's just me, couldn't take the risk. |

| OMG how horrible! I would report this and make sure that the pit has had all shots, etc. I'm so glad your babies are okay! IMO, the owners of the pit are the irresponsible ones. |

| I'm glad to hear your babies are allright. Irresponsible people make me really angry. They're talking laws about banning pit bulls here too. And it's not the dogs. It's the idiot owners who don't train and treat them properly. Any dog has the capability of becoming aggressive and mean.

| Report it! In several counties in florida pit bulls are out lawed. I would report it to as many agencies as I could. The next time it could be your life! I have seen some horrible injuries from pit bull attacks. If a person cannot control their animal then they should not be allowed to keep it. They are way too dangerous.

| Thank God they are ok and thank God the pits didn't turn on your children, too! I'm so afraid of pit bulls. My 2 only play in our fenced back yard, but I know this isn't possible for everyone. I hope your kids and yorkie(s) aren't permanently traumatized by this.
