My Babies Were Attacked This Morning My two yorkies were attacked by a pit bull this morning while I was out walking them (leashed) near our house. now I love all dogs...but some folks just need to keep their dogs in a pen. thank heaven the wounds weren't real bad, but a dog 5x their size! I'm surprised you didn't hear me screaming half way across the country! the owner finally came out and pulled the pit bull off my babies!.. He said he would pay the bills, we'll see. I guess we are going to stay in the fence from now on... roxanne |

OMG! After reading your title I was afraid to read the post. Thank God the babies are alright. I would be FURIOUS with the owner of that dog! What did the vet say? Are you going to report the attack? |

wow... you need to contact your ASPCA.. they need to be aware of any dog that has bitten a person or animal.. i'm SO glad your babies are ok ... this could have been so much worse! i woudln't let this go... that dog could have killed either one of your dogs or you.... |

pit bull attack I reported it to the police...the vet says they'll be OK...bite wound to Corky's muzzle and Winston was limping...she didn't find anything wrong with the leg but thinks might be some nerve damage from the dog picking him up by the neck and shaking him... both are home with my daughter (grown) now. roxanne |

You and your babies were so very lucky! That could have been a real tragedy. Please report it to the local police. Why should you have to stay in your yard. Everyone has the right to feel safe walking down a public street. There may be other charges against the owner from others. Sounds like he was too eager to pay the vet bill. Report it and perhaps save someone else's pet. I am so glad your all ok. |

Okay, my natural instict is to want to kill this dog. *sigh* Now I just want to fence the dog in and hurt the owner...he/she is really the one to blame. What action can you take against the owner/home owner? I know what can be done about the dog, but what about her/him? |

That is exactly why when I "walk" GiGi around, she is in a wagon with my son. There are just too many pitbulls!! I am a nervous wreck when I take her to the park. |

OMG....I can't believe they survived and how lucky for that !!! I'd be a puddle on the ground after the fact but know I'd jump on any DOG that touched my girls & probably choke him/her.....that's my biggest fear at dog parks etc - you just never know when it can happen. I hope they'll be ok and MAN is that scary. |

OH MY GOSH!!! I am SO sorry to hear this!!! Your poor sweet babies!!! I am not going to say anything about Pitts here publically because I know there are some here that like them and I love all dogs BUT... I will just say that I can totally udnerstand how scared you were! Thank GOD your babies are ok!! |

OMG I was praying your babies were OK when I read the title of your post. Please notify the authorities, that could've been a tragedy, I'd be shaken and furious as well... I'm glad your Yorkies are going to be fine |

thank you for your support thanks to all of you for your kind support.....I'd rather the dog bit me than my babies! roxanne |

WOW! So sorry this happened but glad they weren't injured more seriously. The owner should definitely pay the bills and that dog should be kept under lock and key, if at all. |

OMG that must have been so... scary for you & your dogs. :( I can\'t image how you felt while that was going on. So glad everyone is ok. I would be so... upset and mad at the owner of the Pit Bull. |

I\'m glad they are okay. Report the incident to police, animal control, your city counsel. The owners should be paying all vet bills. The dog should be impounded for rabies and parvo and other diseases. Please don\'t say, well I\'m lucky and the dogs will be okay. this kind of stuff is why they are passing laws in states that give pitbull owners more rights than you. |
