| I would call the police...charges could probably be filed and honestly it would be a great way to ensure the money back from the vet bills!

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | First off I have no idea why any responsible dog owner would allow their dog outside without supervision...no matter how big they are. That guy should be shot for negligence. Glad to hear your babies are ok.

| This incident really needs to be reported to all the proper agencies in your county. Not that it wasn't bad enough to be your babies, it could have been a small child. This owner needs to be fined and pay the conseqences for his lack of care concerning his dog.

| OH MY............that is terrible. I hope they have a speedy recovery! (I also hope the pitbull owner stands by his word and pays the bill - that is the least he could do) |

| YT Addict | I am so so glad your babies are okay. We all know it could have been worse. You and your babies are in my prayers!!!!I hope you and your babies will recover in peace, and don't be afraid to walk your babies you should be able to walk with out fear! I know this may sound strange but I also feel bad for that pit bull. Now before ppl get mad at me for saying this I also want to say that Dogs aren't born mean. They become mean by the way they are treated. I am not saying that the owner is mean to the dog, but its a potential situation. Either way that owner is irresponsible and the owner should have to be held accountable. It is a good sign that the Owner offered to pay the bills. That should be considered as a good faith jesture. I just hope that he keeps his word, if he doesn't you could nail his hinney to the wall in court!! |

| I'm glad your babies are okay! I know that must have been super scary. I'm angered at the pit owner. As an owner of a pit myself its guys like him that give the rest of the pits bad names. Pits are bred to be dog aggressive. Its something that you can't love or train out of them. Not all pits are dog aggressive, but you just can never trust a pit bull around other dog unsupervised, because although the pit may not have started the scuffle they were bred to finish the fight. Which is one reason my baby girl is never allowed around animals I don't know and always supervised around animals I do know. Laney isn't dog aggressive, but I know if another dog were to growl or snap at her, she more than likely would fight back and her being more muscular she would probably injure the other dog. |

| OMG - I'm so glad you took your babies to the vet and they aren't seriously hurt. Another YT member, Amy (ssj4.0) had her baby attacked during a walk by a Husky and she had several puncture wounds to her head as the dog had it in his mouth shaking her back and forth. Poor Sadie had to have her head shaved, but she too is okay. All dog owners need to be more responsible. If your dog has even had a tendency to attack/bite/even viciously snarl they should not be out for walks or in public!!!

| OMG how horrifying. Thank goodness your babies are not hurt any more tham they are. i agree with reporting the neighbor and the pit to the ASPCA. The dog should have been on a leash. Also if he attacks animals who is to say he wouldn't attack a child? i don't even want to think about that. Sending P&PT to your Corky & Winston. |
