| ![]() Thank you everyone for your concern and good wishes. Keisha is still not too responsive tonight. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully a better one all around. I did put a call in to the vet because she kept closing her eyes this afternoon and just wanted to sleep....just so unlike her. If she continues in this state , I will be bringing her to Red Bank Hospital in NJ. tomorrow. She really should have improved by tonight and she hasn't. In fact, she has been shivering and trembling uncontrollably, like she's freezing, and she has a shirt on her! Her eyes are now tearing and she looks at you like she wants to tell you something bad. Pathetic and unnecessary. My daughter is a basket case. To the groomers on this thread, I fully empathize with your job and I understand your points completely. However, I still stand my ground: there is no reason for any dog to come out after shaving to look and act like the victim of a rape and beating. And Keisha was certainly not that knotted that a little tenderness and gentle care couldn't. If I knew that she was going to come out in the condition she did, I would have never allowed her to be groomed. I'd have done it myself as I usually do. Well, hopefully, we can put this behind us in a few days and Keisha will recover. The groomer was absolutely a nasty person with a snappy attitude who needs to learn a little professionalism...she's about 30 yrs old...maybe she should find another job, maybe like grooming in a prison! I could take her down to a few pens where I used to report lineups daily. Makes you want to walk a very straight line all the time. By the way, I just found out tonight that my next door neighbor had taken her Maltese to her 2 weeks ago and had a run-in with her too. Her dog had the worst cut, shaven down and very uneven. In fact, it's hard to recognize that she's a Maltese. Time to call ABC's Shame on You!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | ![]() Wow I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. Poor Keisha. Please put some aloe vera or something for the burns, she must be in so much pain. I haven't taken London or Teddy to the groomers but when I do, I will choose one that I'm allowed to stay there and watch cause there is no way that I could leave them there and not know what is going on.

Did the vet check out her butt to see why she cannot sit comfortably? That is worrisome. ![]() Please keep us posted on how she is doing.

| ![]() I too want to send get well wishes to Keisha, I am so very sorry she had to go thru this rough experience. Hopefully time will heal her wounds. And I too know that it is hard to find a good groomer, one you can really trust with your baby. I found one, and she is great with him, and also my first yorkie. I have used her for a total of 15 years, with never a problem. But before I found her I took my first as a puppy to a new groomer, she put a rubber band so tight on his head that it actually swelled, like a balloon, this scared me to death and hurt his tiny head. Needless to say we did not go back there again. And she was suppose to be real good with yorkies...NOT!!!

| ![]() Miss Tullie and I hope that Keisha is feeling better this morning. I do agree with the groomers on this thread that not all groomers are bad. Some can be jewels. Just like the several groomers I have gone to in the last 2 years that have helped me through what I went through with my other dog dying a the groomers with no answer as to how or why. The groomers I have found since I have had Miss Tullie have empathized with MY insecurities. They have actually trained ME to do whatever it takes to keep my baby looking nice. One even offered to come to MY home and clip her nails for me. That was before I learned how. However, Miss Tullie and I are thinking of little Keisha. Please give her loads of hugs and loves to show her you support her also. Here's a big one for all your family ((((((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))))))))))))))) |

| ![]() I am so sorry that Keisha and all of you had to go through this terrible experience. I am very fortunate that Zeus likes going to his groomer and she only does what I ask. Thankyou for sharing this experience with us and I hope that keisha recovers soon. ![]() |

| ![]() Thank you everyone for your thoughts and good wishes again. Keisha is still the same as yesterday, no change unfortunately. I will keep everyone posted. Maybe tomorrow will be better news. PS: Tomorrow is a very nerve wracking day for me. My son is having Lasik eye surgery and I'm very torn about him doing it. He has had way too many opinions as to whether or not he is a good candidate for it and the proper route to take....Lasik, PRK, Epi-Lasik, bladeless, etc....scary thing. He's 21, told he has thin corneas, large pupils, really not a prime candidate, but he doesn't want to hear that. Don't think I'd want a flap cut in my corneas myself. Good to be 21 and fearless! ![]()

| ![]() My God I am so sorry Keisha went thought this. I hope that she gets better. When Kodi was just a year old I took him to my regular groomers shop to be groomed but the lady who always groomed had surgery and a new groomer was working for her. I droped him And Daisy off and thought well it is only a lite trim. well I got a call 2 hours later she saig "Hi your lil ones are all ready to be picked " So I drive the ten min drive to get them. I thought wow they look great! Kodi had a bandana on. I wanted to thank the groomer but she was gone. we any way on the way home I noticed under his bandana he was cut!!!!!! right where his chin met the neck a 1 inch V cut! I was Pi*&ED. So I started looking him over. I found 4 cuts on him! Called the shop and talked to the owner I told him about the cuts and that I was going the vet that they needed to be looked at. He agreed with me and told me "I am so sorry lori Please have them send me the bill" so after I got to the vet I found out 3 of the 4 cuts needed to be stiched!!! I was so upset #1 that it happened #2 that the B&*%H didn't stay 10 min to tell me what happened and tried to cover it up. When I called the shop owner and told him and brought Kodi by to show him he was really upset! he said She will not Ever groom in this Town again. I can understand a accident But covering up for it and repeating it is REALLY WRONG. Sorry that was so long I feel for Keisha and I hope she is her sweet normal self soon. |

| ![]() omg ![]() i hope Keisha will get back to normal soon. she sounds traumatized to say the least. your story did make me realize that i am not being too over protective. i have not found a groomer for romeo yet - he is only 17 weeks right now so i don't feel the need yet - but when i do i WILL NOT leave him there alone for any reason. it sounds like from your and others people's experience that this "groomer" really has no idea what she is doing!! ![]()

| ![]() So sorry about Keisha. Poor thing, I hope she recovers quickly. Re: dematting, I believe brushing hair daily (if possible) is best for the dog. Certainly easier on them. |
