| I'm going to borrow Monday's "Phewey". My vet lets his 3 dogs sleep with him. When I was 10 yrs old our St Bernard slept in bed with me starting when we got him at 8 wks old. (The only time he didn't sleep with us was when he had distemper and my mom slept with him in his condo outside.) Our 3 sleep in bed with us, and they are on the couch and chairs. I put 8 wk old puppies in bed with us. They wake me up to go potty or to eat. Never have had a problem with one soiling the bed. I put a footstool or ottoman next to the couch or bed to help them get up & down.

| Mine sleep with me and sit on the couch/chair with me. I have pup stairs going up to the bed and the couch. They use them all the time.

| I do allow my Yorkie to sleep with me cuz he is a great cuddler and I love it. My biewer sleeps now next to my bed on his bed. My only problem with my dog in bed is my husband who is a sound sleeper and has already accidentially pushed Cooper off the bed when he (hubby) turned over at night. Kathy |

| Jake can get up on the couch or bed, and I hold him all the time and he also sleeps with me. He loves to cuddle, so I just let him cuddle when he wants. He still listens really well and is a good little guy. He has never, ever chewed any of our furniture, shoes, etc. He just plays with his toys, and I always make sure he has plenty of chewies. He has always been very well behaved. |

YT 500 Club Member | The best part of having a Yorkie is that they do not shed and don't smell like a bigger dog. So why not have them on the furniture and sleep with them? I don't want to have mine on the floor all the time. We put a foot stool at one side of the bed so that she can get on and off easier. She sometimes misses when she jumps on the couch and then gets embarrassed. I love having her close, and it was my husband who decided that she needed to sleep with us. |

| Mine are on the couch and in the bed ! They know who's boss, because if they are naughty or acting like they own the joint, I put them down off the couch and bed whenever I feel like it. Nobody can sit on our leather couch until they remove the dog beds, lol, and they love the bed, but it's higher, and Tara and Tammy need lifted up and down due to their short legs, whereas Casper has long legs and is like Zebedeee ! They are all 4lbs in weight, and small ! Debra, Scotland 1. Tara 2. Tammy 3. Casper 4. Debra and babies ! |

| Oliver is allowed wherever he wants to go. Very spoiled. He goes on the couches and sleeps wherever he wants to while someone is home. When everyone is gone we have to put him in his kennel because otherwise he will find any cords reachable and will chew on them. But when he actually goes to bed for the night he sleeps in a playpen. But the breeder told us to keep him off of tall couches and beds until he grew up a little bit because when he was small his legs were tiny and jumping off furniture may hurt them. | My dogs have free run of the house and all the furniture, including the beds. They usually sleep with us, but sometimes sleep in our son's room. They never had an accident in bed or on any furniture, and never chewed anything that wasn't theirs. They are big boys (9 and 12 lbs), so jumping on and off furniture is no problem. We don't allow them to jump off the bed and they obey that. They are good little boys.
