| My Mason, 6 months, also discovered the "prizes". I ended up having to put up a gate to separate them. I don't know how big your yorkie is, I know my dog could go over the gate now, but he doesn't "know" he can do it now, so this has stopped it. I went with the cheaper brand. Only problem is, don't forget about it should you walk around at night. I went right over mine once and tore my knees all to heck. Give it a try though. Sam |

| Put the cat dish up high. My yorkie was the same way. Zoey almost starved. Brandi was eating all her food and I didn't even noticed it until I saw Brandi eating out of it. Now Zoey's dish is up on a cart that Brandi can't get too. Now all she does is constantly check the floor around Zoey's dish to see if she dropped any food. |

| I don't think it will hurt him. It's just higher in protein and fat than dog food. Now the eating dog food exclusively or on a regular basis can hurt your cat, however. Dog food does not contain taurine found in cat food. A diet deficient in taurine contributes toward retinal degeneration in cats. Taurine deficiency can also cause cats to develop heart disease.

| Okay I have 5 dogs and 15 cats and we have a major problem with the dogs eating the litter poop and cat food. We keep the cat food up high and there are litterpans both in the basement and upstairs. We have a littermaid that is kept up high and another litterpan is in a cage for one of our cats who likes it in there. When the door of the cage is opened the dogs go for the food and litter. It gets kind of sticky sometimes. The one in the bathroom has a cover that helps. The other two litterpans are downstairs in the basement and only one of our dogs go down there when we forget to close the gate. As far as them eating cat food that is an every day occurance and we are always chasing the dogs away when we catch them. Although as I said we keep the cat food up high sometimes we forget to put it up there. |

| My neighbor also has cats that wanted to turn my yard into a litter box. The solution was soooo simple. Orange peels. Just throw them into the flower bed and the cats won't go near it. Now my TicTac has no poopoo to be tempted with. And I keep peace with my neighbor.
