| need help not getting any responses in other area The breeder I got my dog from wants her back. I took my puppy to the vet for shots and a check up i just got her friday and her eye was looking funny well the vet said she had a eye condtion that required surgery and he wants me to bring her back on thursday for surgery. I called the breeder where i got her and now she wants the dog back she says she will give me a refund but I drove over 2 hours to get the dog and do not want to return her. Im attached and have put money into her already by buying every thing she needds or that i wanted for her like clothes, carrying purse, pet taxi kennel thing, vet bill, food, treats toys I went all out I took her to petco. Anyway i do not want to give her back and I dont want to make the breeder mad at me she still has to send me my akc papers on the dog when she gets them in. can anyone help has anyone elses dog ever had a problem like this? |

| I am sure the breeder is just trying to spare you the expense of the surgery. I am sure if you tell her you want to keep her she will be okay but you will have to pay for the surgery

| i agree. it was nice of the breeder to offer to take her back but you are under no obligation to give her back. you might ask her if she will help some on the vet bills if she had the condition when you got her. otherwise, you will have to pay for the surgery and probably sign a release for the breeder. |

| I agree with Sugar's Mom. But I would not sign a release if she is not willing to compromize. (<< spelling ??) Also, do you have a health guarantee from the breeder? I would also talk to the breeder and let her know you want to keep the puppy. Maybe she will have an alternative for you... Keep us updated!! Good luck!!

| Did she say why she wants her back? Maybe she thought you wouldn't want her since she has the eye problem. |

| Thank goodness you got it worked out. I know that you will take the very best care of Anna, and please keep us updated on her and the surgery and how she is fairing. You are a gal after my own heart to accept Anna with all her little problems and fight to keep her like you did. Best of luck. |

| To me it sounds like you have a very conscientious breeder. She cares about you and your puppy. What eye condition does she have? Is is always in your best interest and your dogs to get a second opinion, from another vet. If they are the same then I would get the surgery but not until. Hope its just a lil eye infection that can be cleared up with antibiotics! |

| I'm glad everything worked out for you and it sounds like you will make a great mommy for Anna. I love her name and she is a little doll! Welcome to YT!
