But I'd still rather have the yorkies than children they tend to not mouth back like kids LOL. I work with alternative kids and I'd rather have yorkies and animals any day in this day and time! Again, I do love my grandbaby heart and soul but glad she's my daughter's and not mine LOL Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers

My intentions for breeding is not to supply the public with companion yorkies, I'm pretty picky on where my puppies are placed. My puppies welfare is 1st and foremost. And at the risk of sounding harsh, if people can't accept my rules, then they can find another breeder whose rules they can accept.

| I knew that would come off as harsh, but it is the bottom line. But, breeder and new family must have a mutual trust and comfort zone with one another. If that isn't there, then they both have the right to walk away from each other.

| I got Tiffany from a breeder on here when Bryson was 1. He is great with her. Very gentle and loving. I cant imagine what I would have missed out on had my breeder not allowed me to get her because of Brysons age. Tiffany has been such a blessing to me

| Just to clarify, I am a stay-at-home mom (to doggies, of course) My husband works out of our home and we have all the time in the world to dedicate to our two dogs. Our dogs have been very well socialized and handle all situations very well. We will have children eventually, but not any time soon. I agree with the breeders on here that you should be able to set your own rules and practices. It's good that you breeders are so strict, so that you can make sure the dogs go to good homes where they will be loved for their whole lives. That's why I think it's great that you do assess each situation individually What I was trying to say in my previous post is I think it's all in how you raise a child around the doggie. Set rules and boundaries. Like with me, I could not imagine not having had my two "small" dogs when I was a child. Not all children are wild and crazy LOL

| I heard about the fact that young kids are not good with yorkies and I experienced it through my neighbors daughter ...she gets excited when she sees Royce and as result he becomes fearful and runs away from her |

Mary your statement wasn't harsh it was the facts! I totally agree with mutual trust! The health and well being of our yorkies is of the utmost importance. Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers

Donna, I know you wouldn't think of it as harsh, but others would. Yes, our yorkies are the most important thing, and what I tell my potential new families is: you aren't just buying a new puppy, you're buying a relationship with your breeder. I am here for you 24x7 should they need me.

| Don't you just love it when that new relationship starts? I have one of Go-Go's puppies from her 1st litter staying with me now, while mom and dad are off on a cruise. Raleigh is absolutely adorable, a smaller version of Tony. Mary
