| Shattered Nerves I scheduled the appointment to get Brandi spayed for Friday.....I am a NERVOUS WRECK!!! Besides Onsies is there anything I should have to make her more comfortable? I will be picking her up by myself on Friday.....she has a car seat....do I have to handle her in any special way? I know it's better for her but I sure don't like having to do this |

| Good luck! I don't have advice, but I'll be going through that in a couple of months too. About the onsies...how does this work? Do you cut a hole for the tail, or snap around the tail? (Can you tell I'm not real creative) |

| You might ask your Vet for pain killers. Some Vets just give them some you have to ask. You may not need them but I still felt better having them

| she probably won't be able to tell you that she has to go potty.. layla had an accident on the blanket before i figured it out.. so i took her out every few hours and you have to help her stand.. she will probably be too out of it to stand on her own.. layla didn't have pain meds and was fine.. just be very gentle when you move her.. she will let you know if it hurts... i had a new toy for layla when she came home.. she still has it and it is one of her favorites.. have a nice little spot all ready for her to lay down when you get home and try and have everything out ready so you dont' have to leave her too long to go get something.. poor babe.. she'll do great! |

| OH! I feel for you! I have gone through it twice and have another to schedule within a month or so! How old is Brandi? My yorkie bounced back after surgery and was a real trooper! I was so shocked at her behavior and I hope it is that easy for Truffles - and Brandi too! Do ask for pain meds and do as Marcerella says too....she will be wobbly from the meds. I slept on the frontroom floor with my girls the first 2 nights

| I had Gwen spayed , and she was only two pounds. I know my vet very well, and he let me watch the whole thing which made me feel a lot better. She was just fine after the surgery. He kept her over night, because she was so tiny, and wanted someone to watch her overnight. If you trust your vet. Relax and know she'll be just fine. |

| Chewy was about 5 lbs when she was spayed at 6 months. I got her a onsie size 0-2 months. It was a little loose of her but thats good because i didnt want to struggle to get it on her. She came home at about 5 and slept. I got home at 7 and put her on her wee wee pad and she peed. Then she went back to sleep. The problem was she couldnt sleep on her belly. She would put her front paws down and her head down but her back paws were standing!! I felt so bad because i thought if she collapsed it would hurt more. So i kept flipping her onto her side. I gave her one pain killer to make it easier to sleep. But the next morning she was back to walking and eating as usual (the first night you cant feed her). I did give her some nutrical thought (dont tell my vet). By the second full day home she was back to running around and jumping.I couldnt keep her calm. Try not to worry and ask the office to call you when shes out of surgery. They bounce back really quick. Good luck |

| Just wanted to wish you good luck with Brandi. I am sure all will go well and she will be home with you before you know it. It is scary to take our babies in for surgery but if she is not going to be bred your doing the right thing for her. Hugs to Brandi from Buddy. Carol & Buddy |
