Chewy was about 5 lbs when she was spayed at 6 months. I got her a onsie size 0-2 months. It was a little loose of her but thats good because i didnt want to struggle to get it on her. She came home at about 5 and slept. I got home at 7 and put her on her wee wee pad and she peed. Then she went back to sleep. The problem was she couldnt sleep on her belly. She would put her front paws down and her head down but her back paws were standing!! I felt so bad because i thought if she collapsed it would hurt more. So i kept flipping her onto her side.
I gave her one pain killer to make it easier to sleep. But the next morning she was back to walking and eating as usual (the first night you cant feed her). I did give her some nutrical thought (dont tell my vet). By the second full day home she was back to running around and jumping.I couldnt keep her calm.
Try not to worry and ask the office to call you when shes out of surgery. They bounce back really quick.
