| We have learned that our saliva is Yoda's saliva, any time he wants it. ![]() We have learned that coming home is never boring when you have a Yorkie awaiting you. And also that one little Yorkie CAN take over a king-sized bed! And if Yoda doesn't like someone, they don't get to come over to the house any more. |

| I got a call yesterday from Maggie's breeder. She wanted to know if I would help her fix her computer. I told her I didn't have a babysitter at the time. She said bring Maggie on over and let her play with the Yorkie crew. I was one worried Mama. I was afraid that the Yorkie crew was going to beat her up. I wasn't much help with the computer, but I know every inch of her house. Got home and my daughter called and asked about Maggie. I told her that Maggie was the best child I have ever seen. She corrected me by saying Maggie was a dog. I corrected her and said Maggie is my baby. Needless to say, that was one short phone conversation. I think my daughter is worried about her inheritance now. |

| Villette, you started a great thread. This is tons of fun and we all are certainly learning from our yorkie. No wonder we love them so. Unfortunatly I have never learned pig latin, I knew I should have paid more attention when my brother tried to teach me. Little did I know that it would help me some 40 odd years down the road. But I have seen an evolution in the languauge I use to try and out wit, out smart (you can tell I'm a Survivor fan) my yorkie. I have gone from " I'm leaving" to "I'm fixin to go" to I shall momentarily exit the building..

| I've learned that I can never stand up from the computer without carefully looking where I'm placing my feet and I can't sit down on the couch without first fishing a puppy out from under me.

| What I have learned and I dont even have a yorkie yet is: -how much money you can spend on all the cutesy stuff. -how every shopping trip no matter where it be to involves trying to find the cutesy stuff. -how the cutesy stuff can take over your house very quickly. What I have learned from having a small dog is: -you can never have too many carriers even if there are 3 of them never used in the closet with the tags on. -the back of the couch doubles as a place to put the really pretty expensive quilt that matches everything in the living room so you spent a fortune on it AND as a dog perch to watch all the neighborhood kids. -that the human body CAN and WILL curve in very odd directions as to not disturb the sleeping dog in the bed. -sliding out from under the covers and standing on the bed as to not disturb the sleeping dog in the bed when you have to go pee becomes an art. What I have learned from just having a dog in general is: -spelling things backwards and watching the other skin person in the room try to figure out what you said has become something we deal with regularly in our house. -any toy that screams, quacks, oinks, moos, barks or anything else will never be used unless you have a spliting headache, you are sleeping, or you are on the phone and the toy is being used in your lap. -wiping your dogs drool, eye boogies and whatever else on your shirt, pants or whatever is no longer gross. -the windows in your car will no longer be completely see through. There will be nose marks and occasionally some drool all over them. You learn to look around the nose marks and drool dribbles. |

| I love this thread and all the comments! Great idea, Villette! I've learned to get along without antidepressants, because now Maddie takes care of that! I've learned I can live in a "Not so tidy home." My daughter laughed and made a comment one day when she was here. She said, "Your house was always so neat and tidy until you got Maddie." There's always toys strewn from one end of the house to the other! Also my car which I always kept sparkling clean...now has nose prints all over the windows! I can live with that! I've learned that I can spend money on Maddie without blinking an eye, but buying anything for myself, it darn well better be on sale or clearance! I've learned that being an owner of a yorkie, the smiles and laughter they give are neverending. I know there's lots more I could mention and I'll say ditto to all the other posts!!! I'm sure we can relate to most of them! I'll be coming back to this thread to read...such fun! |

| [QUOTE=Connie] that! I've learned that I can spend money on Maddie without blinking an eye, but buying anything for myself, it darn well better be on sale or clearance! I so agree with this one. I just bought Memphis a little hawian shirt and hat after seeing the one that Yoda got. Had to have it. But then I went to Old Navy and really liked alot of stuff but refused to buy it for myself until it went on sale. LOL |

| Hahahah, geez, it's hard to keep up with the YorkieTalker Yorkies, isn't it ReconsMomma! I just posted the Hawaiian shirt Yoda got in the Secret Buddy Exchange less than THREE hours ago! ![]() Also, we've learned the true definition of puppy dog eyes and how just darn near impossible it is to resist them (unless it's a food or something bad for them)! |

| Just thought of this when I was posting about SImon and Hallie's haircuts! I spend more money on their hair (each) grooming than I do to get my hair cut/colored and highlighted! And I don't even give it a second thought!!! |

| Oh, Oh, I just thought of one but I'm not sure I should share cause it shows the depth of my psychosis...oh well, what the hay! You know your life revolves around your Yorkie when he pees on the floor and it's your fault, as in: Mom, Bo peed on the floor! Oh Ty, it's not his fault, I wasn't paying enough attention to him. Is there any cure for this dementia? I know, another Yorkie!!
