First:As you can see she said "Never shown a picture" so there is your reference.
So I answered her question and then expanded.
Second: There is always another side of the story. So let us hear it right wrong or indifferent it will be out there in the whole.
Third: Give the kennel an opportunity to defend itself if they don't well then. How do you know they won't let cameras in? if not HUM!
Go figure it would be complete then and would add credibility to the whole thing.
I swear I did not know that wanting the whole story would offend so may of you.

We now have a tentative date (everything in TV is tentative) for the Brushy Creek story: Tuesday, February 20th. That's after American Idol with a huge audience. Kudos to our news director for showing so much interest and faith in this story to give it such a prime viewing spot.

And that picture of Gracie wasn't as staged as it appears. I was watching TV with her on my sofa last night and looked over at her in that exact pose and just had to reach for my camera-phone. Thus, no flash with low resolution, but still a funny picture."

As far as the news and the report - ANY kind of media attention that helps dogs is a good thing - I'm sure Fox news will be fair in their report. It's no different than you & the llama's I bet if the news wanted to interview you - you'd have been right there for the camera because you feel wronged -

I am responding to people who are questioning me isn't that how these work? I know I keep saying the same thing over and over because everyone keeps questioning why I am interested in both sides. I was there when the camera was there and I would have loved for the other person involved to be interviewed by the media too so I could have seen what was going through their sick head. In my opinion, this story doesn't need two sides to it. We know there are many, many sick puppies that have been sold by these people and those who have physically been there can attest to the fact that they have way too many dogs. They don't deserve to have their side told. What would be the point? The simple fact is, they have sold horribly ill puppies, many of which have died. That alone is enough to warrant an investigation like this. I truly hope they are shut down as a result of this story, and if they aren't, enough people will know about them that it should severely hurt their business.

Maybe Fox will invite the breeder/owner to respond.

Where I live the news shows stories all the time where a consumer feels like they were cheated by a big business. Even if it's only one customer out of thousands and thousands. They usually end the story saying that they contacted the business owner and refused to comment, or something like that. This seems fair to me.

Well I wasn't trying to be a prick or anything SORRY. Its just that I had 2 dogs from there and BOTH where extremely sick and 1 died after I returned it. I am really angry about this experience and I hope that someone that will be listening to the investigation that is looking for a dog will turn around and RUN! Also, I hope all there dogs get taken away, I as well as others never got to see the kennel (the sire and dam) of the puppies they were selling so that right there is a warning, also fox 26 went in with hidden cameras and they were not even allowed in the kennel area. So if it is that great of a place then why do they not let you go back there???? I think they are trying to hide all there sick animals.

And to answer another of your questions dobiedude, I heard from someone that use to work at the place and told us they had 500+ dogs of multiple diffrent breeds there, and yes I can tell (estimated guess) how many dogs I could hear inside that home on BOTH occasions. Why after sooo many sick dogs you would think that the guy would do something about it and take care of his dogs but he doesn't all he cares about is collecting money from the dogs he doesn't care if they're sick or not just as long as they can pump out puppies that what he's all about, he doesn't care about the people who buy his puppies either, he is a very rude and demented individual.

Dobie, no one attacked you IMO. I get that you want "both sides of the story", but I just don't see the need for their side. They've clearly sold sick puppies in large quantities and have proven themselves in my mind to be nothing other than a puppymill. Even if FOX news doesn't get their side, it should be clear from the testimonials of people w/sick and dead dogs purchased from him that he's no good. Regardless, I'm sure FOX will be fair in their story and I'm SURE that the kennel will be reached for a comment.

In my opinion, there is no need for hundreds of examples of sick and dead dogs. If ANY breeders allow 1 dog to leave him sick and/or it dies and he isn't concernced and makes no efforts to even help the family who has the sick pup, then (in my opinion) he is unethical and an awful breeder. A reputable breeder should care about ALL his/her dogs before and AFTER that have gone to their new home.

My guess is Fox has more than just the 6 or so bad experiences posted here. They wouldn't be taking the time to do all of this investigating and putting the segment in a prime spot during sweeps after American Idol if were only 6 people. I dont think people are attacking you, it just amazes me that you would stand up for someone that had broken so many hearts and sold so many sick dogs. Even if they sold hundreds of good dogs, the fact still remains there are way too many sick and dying ones and that is reason for concern. I am sure Brushy Creek will get their chance to defend themselves. Everyone here would just love to hear their side of why they sell sick and dying dogs. I truely do hope they get both sides so we can see how they justify what they are doing. We arent attacking you, we are attacking them so why are you taking it personally?

Some Year's ago as i was looking to buy my Yorkie's i went to my Vet. and asked if there was any one in my area who sells or breeds Yorkie's . And i was told not to buy a puppy from " Brushy Creek Kennel "- David Moore .
Because the puppies are in bad shape and very ill , so it is known in the Waller/ Magnolia area that this is not a good place to get your new familymember . I just hope that Fox 26 News get's the word out and many people will be saved from the heardbreak and pain of loosing a puppy/familymember .

I think that is an attack. Did I say anywhere that I am standing up for them? if so please show me. I asked a simple question to the person who posted this thread (Fox 26 news) and I got a bunch of flack for it. That is the reason I take it personal. Just like you probably would if people accused you of breeding "teacups" (as stated on your web page) and stating bad things about that.

I can imagine you are angry but you don't have to take it out on someone asking a question.
I do have a question though why would you want your clients in the kennel anyway if your a breeder? I know I keep my animals away from people from my pastures unless they are disinfected and wear clean shoes or booties. There are way too many bugs out there to harm my critters.

I have a privacy fence just because of the incidents that happened to my animals so yes there is a need for them IMO.

This is the point I was trying to make. I think viewers and potential customers would like to see his justification, if he is selling sick dogs, why is he doing this? What is his explanation? From what I have seen, opposing sides are usually invited to respond to the charges against them.

Where on her site does it say she breeds teacups? She states she breeds to the standard and sometimes gets a teacup sized puppy.
All yorkie breeders get a small one from time to time. But she is not breeding tinies to produce them

No but being new to this it says teacup and everyone on here has stated stay away from any breeder who uses the word "teacup" as there are no such thing.

Brushy Creek Investigation

Sorry I haven't checked the thread lately. Boy, I have missed quite a bit! Obviously, I needed to come in and set some things straight.

First, apparently we are not the only media outlet investigating Brushy Creek. Because we don't want to be the last one to get our story out, we may be moving our story to an earlier date in February. I will let you know as soon as we have a concrete date. In the meantime, you can check our website to make sure you don't miss anything: www.myfoxhouston.com Just check under the investigative stories for Randy Wallace. He's the reporter doing the story on Brushy Creek. The fact that other news programs are ready to pounce on this story is no surprise. When you have this many people complaining about a business, it's bound to catch the attention of many journalists.

The question about getting both sides of the story is a fair one. Please let me explain how we do things at Fox 26 News. You have probably seen many stories on local TV that spotlight a consumer complaint against a business. Marvin Zindler has made a career out of following up on single-complaint stories and trying to help people who get ripped off. And he is very good at it. One of the best. But my department is not really a consumer news agency. We are investigators. When we get a single complaint about a business, it is rare that we will follow-up with a story. Nor is two complaints much of a trend. Three or four will raise an eyebrow. When we saw the dozens of complaints sent to the Houston Better Business Bureau about Brushy Creek, we decided to follow-up with research. During the course of a month, about 30 stories reach a similar research stage in my office. And out of those 30, we find only about 4 or 5 are compelling enough pursue. And then, well before we initiate interviews, the story goes to our lawyers. NewsCorp (parent of Fox Television) is a multi-national conglomerate employing tens of thousands of people worldwide.

One thing NewsCorp does not like is being sued. Our attorneys are among the best in the world in libel law. They are not employed in order to go after people. They are employed to keep Fox journalists from broadcasting anything even remotely libelous or misleading. They are the toughest bunch of lawyers I've ever dealt with. They often shoot down stories I believe have great merit and reflect fairness. They didn't even blink when I presented them with the Brushy Creek facts. They gave us the go-ahead. Frankly, the dozens of documents, transcripts and photographs we have reviewed are overwhelming. In my eight years as a producer at Fox, I have never seen such a well-documented investigative story.

As for fairness, let me assure everyone, we will ask Mr. Moore for his side of the story. We will arrange a convenient time for him to be interviewed. We will ask to see his facilities (but we aren't likely to give him much notice before showing up to see the facilities). We would never even consider airing a story without pursuing a response from all parties involved. I would be fired for failing to do so. But the notion of talking to happy customers is another issue altogether. Happy customers do not make rip-offs or scams okay. Let me give you a few examples:

We are airing a story in February about a major cruise line that treated a family with unspeakable rudeness. I think everyone who sees that story will be shocked at what they hear. Now, I have no doubt that the cruise line has tens of thousands of happy customers. In fact, I'm one of them! But my wonderful vacation does not make up for what they have done to others. We must air the story. I bought a car from a dealership in Houston a few years ago. I was happy with the purchase. It was a great car. But a TV station (not Fox) found out about a string of rip-offs perpetrated by this dealership and did a story on it. Am I upset they didn't speak to me, a happy customer, before airing the story? Of course not. Just because I'm happy doesn't give them the right to rip off other people and they needed to be exposed. Just last night, we did a story (available for viewing on our website) on a horrible experience by a customer of Metro's Lift Ride for disabled riders. Again, I have no doubt that Metro has offered more than a million trouble-free rides over the years, but even Metro thanked us for bringing this story to their attention.

To call the complaints against Brushy Creek a trend is an incredible understatement. We read and took calls citing the exact same problems over and over and over. "Not the same dog in the picture." "My dog arrived sick and later died." "I spent thousands on vet bills in the first months." And on and on and on. And each one of these complaints is documented with pictures, vet bills, documents, receipts and video. This is what we call in the news business, "a slam dunk."

Not only will we be doing a story to air soon. We will likely follow-up with many more stories over the course of the next year. There is no way we can fit all the horrific complaints against Brushy Creek into a single 4- or 5-minute story. Don't assume we are finished after the first story is done. And as I am learning, don't assume we are the only ones uncovering misdeeds at Brushy Creek. More updates to come.

For someone that doesn't have the time to "post pictures and dress up their Yorkies" you seem to be spending a lot of time on here arguing and knowing who might raise "teacups" and what reputable breeders feel about that subject!
